The Funniest Marvel comic was the Erik Larsen/Kurt Busiek Defenders run.

      TOUCH!

I have to agree with Justin, the first Deadpool ongoing series by Joe Kelly was one of the funnest and funniest things ever. Daniel Way totally had a handle on the Deadpool persona in that Wolverine Origins run, and the new ongoing Deadpool series he's doing should be great. I guarantee it will be the high point of the Secret Invasion spin-offs.

Wow, Alex shaved those sideburns off...it really makes his moles stand out. Those things are HUGE!

My favorite funniest marvel comic has always been "What if" Vol. 1 #34. (http://en.marveldatabase.com/What_If%3F_34)

One of the best one page gags was "What if Daredevil Were Deaf Instead of Blind?" written and drawn by Frank Miller. (http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix4/earthdddeaf.htm)

I traded a guy a copy of Alien Legion #1 and #2 for this book. Best trade I ever made.

Totally agreeing on Dan Slott being a funny writer. Loved the Human Torch/Spidey mini.

For me, the funniest Marvel book was an issue of What-If from the early 90s. In that issue, the Revengers took on the Just'a League in a bar. In one panel, the Batman character was wearing sunglasses and signing autographs (due to the popularity of the 89 Batman flick) and Captain America was jumping up and down, trying to get attention for his (never released except direct to video, early 90s) Captain America movie. In another panel, the Daredevil character can be seen in the background of the bar and walking into a pillar and bonking his head while holding a mug of beer.

To this day, whenever I come across it in my collection, it cracks me up!

      Totally off topic:

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Flavor Flave resembles a walking struck match!!!!!

The funniest Marvel book would be the odd re-doing or 'outing' of a gay Rawhide Kid the covers were so funny and the book was goofy. Me and my girl were rolling.

You cant say Funniest Marvel Comics without DEADPOOL! thats not possible.. so Deadpool.. the ongoing back in the 90's.. and thanx Marvel for starting new series!

You guys rock for the Powers review!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you guys are forgetting Irredeemable Antman. Kirkman was awesome in creating a "What if a douchebag got superpowers" story. And Antman appearing in the initiative has been good also.

You are all fools for not mentioning NEXTWave: Agents of H.A.T.E. I have never laughed so often nor so loudly at a comic in my life. (Just kidding about the fools thing but...c'mon)

I remember enjoying What The a lot when I was a kid, but I'm not sure what the funniest Marvel book I ever read was.

Joe Kelly's Deadpool was pretty funny. So was the initial run of the Marvel Knights Black Panther series.

Funniest book in general, I think, was Transmetropolitan. Watching Spider Jerusalem kick an old lady to the ground and zapping people with bowel disruptors is gut wrnechingly funny.

Marvel has quite a history of humor books, Brand ECCH!, Howard the Duck, even the Marvel Comics Presents run had a bunch of humor books.

It looks like Marvel is even bringing back the humorous aspect of comics with the upcoming Marvel Ape comics due out in the next few months,a dn you know when Deadpool gets involved in the Secret Invasion its gonna be hilarious.

Powers #29, Drafted #9, and Detective Comics #846

Up first it's a review of Powers #29.  The guys agree that this title is consistently great and think you should definitely check it out.  Next up it's Drafted #9.  Pete likes the reveal in this issue and thinks the story is very intense.  Then we check out Detective Comics #846.  Justin thinks that Paul Dini is at his finest with this issue and he's setting up a major arc.  Be sure to check it out!  During the Speed Round  we look at I Kill Giants #1, BPRD: The Warning #1, Booster Gold 1 Million, Action Comics #867, and Transformers: All Hail Megatron #1.  Finishing off, Bart writes in, "What's the funniest Marvel comic you've ever read?" Be sure to watch and see which character Alex, Justin, and Pete thought was the funniest.
