Thunderbolts 120 was amazing. It just shows you what a great character and villain the Green Goblin is. From now on I think Warren Ellis should just write the Green Goblin's dialogue no matter who is writing the main story..... Its not like hes doing anything else.....

Sentry is one of the worst heroes ever made. He's too whiny, and he's overall just too powerful for a character. For a guy who is claimed to be powerful then a thousand suns, there's not much else you can go from there. Plus with SI #2, man he got taken out like such a bitch it just makes you scream, 'why is he even around the Marvel U when he's taken out in one page?'

Batman R.I.P part 1 was pretty well written, it's pretty much issue oneitis cause we still got so many parts to go. But pick it up for the art guys, man Daniels has been the best artist in either Morrison's and Dini's run on Batman. Iron Man has been fantastic since the Civil War, some people say it is on pace as Brubaker's Captain America and I agree with that theory. It is so well written and the art has always been great no matter who does it.

It's a shame Ellis is being a whiny bitch, cause if he wasnt...then I wouldnt have to worry how bad Thunderbolts will be once his run ends. But yeah perfect issue and it shows how this has been one of the best series Marvel has put out.

Didn't think Batman 676 was all that confusing especially if you have been reading Batman all along, it was heavy on recap. Thunderbolts ruled but Ellis made Swordsman into too much of a wuss.

Yeah, Grant Morrison is confusing as hell. His stories kind of read like the sparknotes versions of awesome comics that...never actually got written.
(Though obviously his early X-Men was amazing, The Invisibles is fantastic if you're on crack, We3 was really cool, and Superman All Star might be the best monthly comic our there right now. So I mean...I guess what I meant to say was, he's great.)

FYI, the Justin blog badge thing looks like Bob Saget, and Alex looks like Larry King. With more hair. Pete's OK though.

And where's that viewer audience thing? If I come to NY to see the Daily Show, the Stack would be a hilarious drop-in.

Wow, the art on Iron Man:DoS just keeps getting better. I still havent read Fractions IIM, but I've been onboard with this title since day 1, and love it.

Mighty Avengers on the other hand, I skip. I just dont like the art. I read the preview, and just didnt get it at all, so I'm just ignoring this thru Secret Invasion.

Thunderbolts has been "insanely" good, if you know what I mean. There have been so many great megalomaniac villains in this book. This is another title I've been on since day 1.

Remember, Lost Boys 2 is coming out soon. I'm not sure when, it looks like it was pulled from the summer releases, or if its going direct to dvd now or what. Theres like no info I can find about it. The trailers look fantastic though.

There's so much tension on the show. I'm somewhat uncomfortable watching.

i like how viewers seem to project so much onto the presenters.

    • Steve (guest) wrote on May 19, 3:38 pm

You guys are slipping. I can't believe you missed the obvious "an Apple a day..." joke after Justin ate Alex's computer.

    • Steven J. Vasquez (guest) wrote on May 19, 5:52 pm

The art of Tony Daniels kicks all kinds of bootie!!!
I've been hearing good things about Thunderbolts lately. Have to look into it. The art on those Iron Man books you guys showed looks incredible. God, there's so much coolness in terms of comics, but so little a guy can spend when he's on a self imposed budget!!!

My questions is.. Why are they making Wanted the movie not remotly like the comic? I mean 300 and sin city are great movies because the were so close to the comics.. I mean spiderman 3 with the jazz hands was closer to the comics then the wanted movie is to the graphic novel. love your show guys and the solo thing alex is doing is great.

      Your show rocks !!!

      i have a question...
in spider-man: brand new day, is this series in some sort of alternate demension or is this colliding with the other marvel comics?

    • Bombardem wrote in reply on May 20, 1:16 am

I believe Joe Quesada said at a recent mondo marvel panel something to the effect of "If it doesnt have Bendis name on it, its not in the current continuity." I think he was half joking.

Marvel needs to synchronise everyones watches, particularly anyone who was involved in the Initiative, and Secret Invasion. Even Bendis's books dont all synch up.

Sorry, but the reason i stick with Ultimate Marvel now is that it is self contained, its all tied together, it makes sense, there isn't a worry of one character popping up in other books or in multiples books. Spiderman is Spiderman, X-men are X-men, F4 are in F4 and Ultimates do whatever the hell they like. Crossovers are contained to one off's, mini-series, etc and thats the ways i like it!

Lovin the show, on the whole continuity issue .the thing i get most annoyed about is the use of Nightwing. I mean he has his own thing goin then suddenly the next 2 issues are Batman stories then suddenly we have a new writer and everything that happened before the batman story has been forgotten. It really pisses me off.

Other than that i dont really mind. I generally just stick to the books i like regardless of what other books the character may appear in. Unless i like the writer of the other book.

Using Wolverine, batman in other books is probably seen as a good way of introducing new readers to an ongoing series, so it's probably a necessary evil.

Oh and am i the only person that thinks this whole skrull thing is ridiculous.
