This in my opinion is why super heroes dominate the American market.

This is a country without a real hero to follow! I would rather place my faith in the possibility, that the virtues of a fictional character can exist, and aspire to be like that...rather than placing faith in a so-called hero, who is sure to fail us all.

We have a Graphic novel Named "Lil'guy", and would love a review.

      Dudes....that just sucked.
Please never ever again do a half-assed art review.

On another note, I agree with Pete on doing shock comics for the sake of doing shock comics. How is it any different than pulling stunts in the DCU? Just because Remender is smart and "knows" what he is doing, doesn't make it any better. I'd like a bit of substance behind shock.

Seriously, never again review art like that.

    • TheNextChampion (guest) wrote on May 9, 2:49 pm

Teen Titans Year One is the best Titan's comic out right now....but it's not saying much. Titans by Winick is just downright terrible! Poor writing and just over the top boobs in every page. While the other Teen Titans just havent made a nice impact on DC like they should.

I think Glamourpuss is a nice 'test', I mean I dont think it's the best thing out there. But I do love Cerebus, and I do trust this man with comics and Alex is right, a trade will definitely make it better. As for XXXZombies, god damn I wish I could find this series. I hear so much how much violence, sex, and overall terrible things happen in this...I mean, eating babies!? Wow, not even George Romero would go that far. Hopefully I can order the trade for it at my Border's later this year.

As for the art...wow, you guys seem really awkward and not knowning what to say for each art. Which by the way, werent that great...Maybe we shouldnt have focused five full minutes on awkward talking and medicore artwork.

    • Bombardem wrote on May 9, 3:06 pm

That Teen Titans just looks like the cartoon, which sucks zombie balls. It just reinforces my feeling that DC sux.

It's kinda funny that Dave Sim thinks his opinion is important to anyone. Cerebus was okay, but really was very much a fringe, college geek, book. I certainly wouldnt pay $3.99 to read his opinion on supermodels...or anything.

Having had the benefit of a catholic school education, where most of the teachers were nuns, I can confirm it was just a non-stop blow-fest. After all, we all know that it isnt really sex.

Hey, you guys didnt show my superhero comic, Spoogegoob! Guess they'll have to view it here

i struggle creating my own heroes but wait i could be one of the best one day.

    • Bombardem wrote on May 9, 5:49 pm

Why does Alex always cut people short like he's like some evil moderator at the democratic debates? I notice he always finds enough time in the segment for his own long winded opinions. Is there some mysterious time limit the show must come in under? If it takes more time to do a review, then take more time. Or better yet, rehearse...then tape the show.

    • plasticbugs wrote in reply on May 9, 6:41 pm

That's partly my fault. I give Alex time cues during the show so that we have time to talk about all the comic books for that day. If the conversation needs more time, we try to give it more time. However, we try to keep the show from running more than 12 minutes - so that we have time to edit, export them and upload them.

    • hi123 (guest) wrote on May 9, 6:15 pm

i love your show teen titans look awsome

    • DrDoobious wrote on May 9, 6:34 pm

The idea of them rehearsing the show sounds ridiculous. I like the random different directions it goes, keeps the show fresh for us and them

My vote is for the Amish Enforcer.

    • Steven J. Vasquez (guest) wrote on May 10, 12:04 am

Y'know, Alex does seem a trifle on the marshmellowy side...

Anyway, can we take up a collection to buy Pete a new shirt. It's a cool Venom shirt, Pete, but putting on a blazer over it does not hide the fact that you wore it twice this week. Seriously, though, PETE ROCKS!!!
      Pete for president? I'll vote!!!
Justin, as always you make me laugh. Even though a friend of mine constantly refers to you as "the other one!"
By the way, Why are you always trying to touch Pete. This episode you tried to stroke his beard (and he denied you like always). What gives? Is Pete really that manly?

As for Teen Titans: Year One, obviously you guys never heard of Zygoat Titans: Year Zero!!!

      XXXombie?
Talk about a "BONER!!!" (BA-DUM-BUM, TSSSS!!!)

      Glamorpuss?
I can see where that series is going. The climactic cliffhanger ending where one of the models puts a finger down her throat and barfs up Cerebus!!!

The Stack or better known to you all as "Amish Man" looks like one of the most kick ass characters out there.

I think the look is refreshing and the style to be of pure brilliance. From the coloring, and right to the point detailing.

His fresh ideas are sure to capture many comic book lovers time and time again.

Jonathan Gordon. is indeed going to be a rising artist of The Year.

    • grandmasterwook wrote on May 10, 7:46 am

How awkward was that, still a good show though, i did kinda skip towards the end. It woulda been better had you had the artists details and stuff but hey the interns work for free so you get what you pay for=)

The Amish guy is on the Pennsylvania Initiative team right?

    • Che (guest) wrote on May 10, 11:46 am

XXXzombies was the coolest! I got it for my kids, and I may order a bunch and hand them out at halloween and christmas! (j/k) This book is for adults. It is ment to shock and ment to LCD humor. This work is in the same vain as Blackheart Billy and Captain Dingleberry (by Remender). It is a great work and it has an audience. It is not for everyone, but a great piece of entertainment.

    • Bombardem wrote in reply on May 10, 1:27 pm

I wonder if XXXZombies is available on audiobook

Amish man Hands Down you guys are dumb if you pick any other

    • Fonlon wrote on May 11, 2:47 pm

Why is this show censored? I think the average viewer of this show can handle sex and swearing.

    • Charlie Schneider (guest) wrote on May 11, 5:35 pm

Only the biggest and baddest offenses are ever "censored" and I use that term lightly. If something didn't make the final cut, it's probably because it was mispronounced or misquoted.

    • Bombardem wrote in reply on May 11, 6:07 pm

The show is available on TIVO, so they do want to keep it PG'ish because of course kids may not just be in the room, but may see a show about comic books and want to view it. Imagine mom's dismay when she hears someone talking about nuns sucking dick on the kids tv...

    • dirtywhitebrian wrote on May 11, 6:49 pm

      make Pete talk less..

actually, just give him two signs to hold up, one that says "Blows" and the other says "Sweet", and he can stand there and disapprovingly shake his head while books with actual story are reviewed.
