There'll be some angry DC fans today.

    • michael (guest) wrote on March 26, 11:59 am

I can't believe you guys didn't address the crapstorm that is brewing over Mack's 'art' in New Avengers!!

And I agree with Justin over how coloring influences comics, though like Pete, I like a lot of b/w comics.

    • Andy (guest) wrote on March 26, 12:01 pm

Love three times a week fellas. Keep up the great work!

    • Clinton (guest) wrote on March 26, 1:28 pm

Do any rock star like Alice Cooper and or Rob Zombie have there on are in Comic Books

    • Charlie Schneider (guest) wrote on March 26, 1:51 pm

Rob Zombie does a lot of different productions in audiovisual media. He would be much more likely to branch into graphic novels if he hasn't already. As for Alice Cooper, many older rockers from the 70s had all kinds of licensed products. Just look at all the "Kiss" memorabilia to spill out of the decade.

    • spikevalrntine wrote on March 27, 5:55 pm

Rob has published stuff already like The Nail and Spookshow International, trades i think are out though Image Comics ^^

    • imaginary dave wrote on March 26, 3:10 pm

weird. i logged in on this page, but my comment "spill is right" appeared on the previous episodes page.

anyone else experience any lost time?

    • Bombardem wrote on March 26, 3:40 pm

It's MS not MISS you boneheads...Alex...

      Marvel Rulez, DC Sux!

    • Scott (guest) wrote on March 26, 4:45 pm

I suck. Fixing that right now.

    • Bombardem wrote on March 26, 5:04 pm

Can you fix Alex saying it wrong through the whole review too? That was a real Casey (deuce ex machine) moment, and it wasn't even latin...heck it wasn't even a three letter word. You know, dubbing in the right word there might actually be pretty amusing.

    • Scott (guest) wrote on March 26, 6:32 pm

That's beyond my powers, unfortunately. I was able to change it everywhere else, though.

    • joseab (guest) wrote on March 26, 4:44 pm

dudes great show like always just one very big problem mmmm... next time you drop a bomb like you did with new avengers #39 about daredevil can u at least let us know before it kind of ruined the comic for me. thats it keep up the good work!

    • joseab (guest) wrote on March 27, 10:33 am

wow i totally take back what i said earlier about giving a warning obviously i gotta learn to listen better cause Alex clearly give a spoiler alert. Oh and hey guys a lot of you guys are concerned about not enough DC reviews. I dont read any DC at all the comic book store doesnt really help either and i was wondering what you would recommend from DC especially since ive never picked one up

    • TheNextChampion (guest) wrote on March 26, 6:50 pm

The DC comics they get must be in Arabic or something. That must be the reason, cause there is no reason for not a single fucking DC review in the whole show!!!

That's FOUR STRAIGHT episodes guys, I'm guessing Friday wont have any mention of DC at all either....Shame, clearly this show is getting paid by Marvel, otherwise we'd get more then and a tiny talk about Invincible.

    • leland222 wrote on March 26, 7:58 pm

The Essentials line is great for me. Yes, the books look better with color but now I can get the first 50 issues of Claremont's X-Men for like 20 bucks. As someone who loves comics for the stories I really can't get enough of them.

    • Bombardem wrote on March 26, 8:14 pm

The only thing worth reviewing from DC this week was this

      http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/9338/dcsux2zy6.jpg

    • TheNextChampion (guest) wrote on March 26, 9:16 pm

Dude how can you say that? What about Geoff John's Green Lanterns? Or Greg Rucka's (now final) Checkmate? Or maybe Morrison's fantastic run on Batman right now

DC does suck right now, Marvel definitely has more overall better titles. But there are good major titles going and even some hidden gems. Robin and Booster Gold has been great; good writting and art. So I say 90% of DC sucks right now, but there is a silm number of titles to pick up.

    • Mr Jimmy (guest) wrote on March 26, 10:12 pm

      Gents,

I like the idea of 3 comic fanboys reviewing as a show, so I would never ask you to change that. Still, Pete is a quite sour young fuck at times. If he could try to be a constructive reviewer instead of an angry dude, I think the show would be that much more enjoyable. Keep the strong opinions, just find a more enjoyable to watch way of expressing them. Either that or try getting him stoned right before a taping - that usually tends to mellow the arro inclined.

      Keep up the good work!

      Mr. Jimmy

    • Clive wrote on March 26, 10:16 pm

Justin, please stop sharing about your life.

    • stephen (guest) wrote on March 26, 11:45 pm

no mention of the amazing blue beetle finale this week. you guys hath dropped the ball. Especially with no dc love this week. tssk tssk.

Pete, i'm color blind too. i feel your pain and ridicule.

    • RichieCunningham (guest) wrote on March 27, 12:23 am

      Justin...I hate you.

    • JustinTyler (guest) wrote on March 27, 12:38 am

    • RichieCunningham (guest) wrote on March 27, 2:39 pm

Look at the bright side...I love to hate you..

    • Tom Hehir (guest) wrote on March 27, 1:01 am

No DC again this week, we only complain because we care, if you want to be seen as subjective reviewers (which you are), you've got to mix it up more. I read more Marvel than DC, but even Im annoyed by the Marvel bias going on. Wierd thing about the colourist question, I was going to ask the exact same question this week.....

    • scorp87 wrote on March 27, 1:36 am

Bring back the chairs guys. And I have to agree with everyone else on the lack of DC books. Come on, All-Star Superman, Green Lantern, and Blue Beetle 25 came out this week. We'll be seeing them Friday, right? Right? Also: bring back the chairs.

    • Bombardem wrote on March 27, 2:46 am

No! No chairs! Pete is always touching himself when he has to sit still and listen to other people...

    • tastyrick (guest) wrote on March 27, 2:10 am

There is a Rob Zombie comic and Neil Gaiman wrote the alice cooper comic, where alice cooper plays the devil, so yes they are both already involved in the medium

    • thinwhiteduke wrote on March 27, 5:02 am

Justin, could you share more about your life? Maybe make it a weekly segment, or a very emotional special episode?

    • grandmasterwook wrote on March 27, 5:13 am

Justin i love you... purely in a hetrosexual sense you understand but just thought i'd stick up for you due to a previous comment on these boards.

      Mon' the nightwing

    • scarybob wrote on March 27, 6:11 am

i really agree that colouring is important, the colours on all star superman really make frank quitelys artwork pop. plusi have the first ever hulk story arc in hulk essentail 1 and in another collection and it looks so much better and reads better with the colours.

oh and justin, you are man pretty

    • Dru (guest) wrote on March 27, 1:41 pm

Great episode guys! Dude, I had that same shirt back in the day, I think I got it from like PacSun or something like that...weird...

    • leland222 wrote on March 28, 12:20 am

i'm pretty sure that daredevil turning out to be a skrull is just in this issue. i feel like the skrull appeared as matt murdock so echo wouldn't run away the second she saw him.

    • Joe (guest) wrote on March 28, 1:39 am

      Hey Guys,

great episode, one small comment i would love to see you guys do marvel mondays, dc wendsdays and indy fridays.

I have a question is there any book right now that you are considering droping/ slash what was the last series you droped?

And everyone knows that inkers are the unsung heroes.

    • Bombardem wrote on March 28, 2:03 am

    • xxsuperboyxx wrote on March 28, 5:24 pm

Uhh didn't Kevin Smith go over why no one colors?... CAUSE THEY ARE FUCKING TRACERS!!!!!!!

    • tightsandcapesforever wrote on March 28, 9:38 pm

As others have mentioned, why no DC reviews?!

    • msfriz831 wrote on April 1, 10:49 pm

Your show is awesome! Please review young X-men; what do you think? Colorist are very important in my mind. Is this show meant for the older? I am 11 and I like your show to!

Ms. Marvel #25, New Warriors #10 and New Avengers #39

We've got three Newsarama Reviews for you starting with Ms. Marvel #25, which deals with lots of Skrull stuff. But it tells the history using old-style comic artwork.

Then we check out New Warriors #10, where former mutants form a new super hero team. It's very similar to The Initiative, but we're not sure it's as good as The Initiative.

New Avengers #39, follows Echo and more of the Skrull story unfolds. We really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see where it goes from here.

In the Speed Round we check out Bohda Te, Invincible #49, Amazing Spider-man #554, FX #1, and Thor #7.

In our mailbag, Confessor commented and wondered about the importance of colorists. We're going to tell you what we think about colorists and how their work impacts our comic book reading.
