The Incredible Hulk Exclusive Movie Review and All-Time Favorite Hulk Runs

I'm a sucker for Star Wars comics.
Action Comics, Superman, and Countdown are my big problems. With both Superman books, if they're written well, I find they're some of the best books around. However, they instead usually suck. And with Countdown, I'm just so far into it, it would seem like a huge waste if I stopped now.
I know what you mean. Countdown is an amazing marketing tool for DC. And a good chance to see lesser characters get their fair play.
I stayed with West Coast Avengers for its entire miserable run. Weak stories, dumb villians, ugly, primative Al Milgrom art (his inks are usually cool, but keep that guy away from pencils) - and I bought it every month because stupid me just so loved the idea of the second team. I really liked the concept of Hawkeye getting a team. I kept telling myself that a new team would come along and make it cool. Never happened.
Thanks for another great show.
My go-to series has been the adjectiveless X-men (now X-men Legacy or whatever)
I've loved the X-Men since grade school and have every issue of the series, even though some have sucked and I've thought about giving up, I keep coming back.
Its a sickness really.
Oh man, I feel Alex on the Flash there. I pretty much stopped collecting Hulk as soon as Peter David left the title. It felt like the end of an era. Well, I lie, I picked up Joe Casey's short run after David, but it just wasn't the same... it was way too trippy. Batman and Daredevil, however, always seem to walk the line between "awesome" to "okay" regardless of the creative team.
Big comics reviewed this week....Shocker!
I love what Iron Man is right now, alot of good mystery's and some well written diaologue. It's amazing how there is very little action in the comics though. I wont spoil Captain America either...but god damn this is a great series! Why isnt everyone on the planet picking this up? It might be the best comic in modern times right now.
For creative teams, well I definitely left JLA once Morrison's run was done. JLA has not been any entertaining since then, and overall it just seems like a waste of a read. It's a shame, cause this should be the flagship title, since so many damn famous characters are in it.
I'm a total sucker for the amazing Spider-girl. It really builds on the Spider-man stories from when I started reading back in the day (when Ben Reilly was Spidey).
I love how DeFalco makes Mayday believable with the spider powers and all, yet not at all a copy of Spider-man's character.
I am loving the 3 episodes a week. It give you guys a great chance to comment on even more of the comics released each week.
Hard choose for 2008 number 1 GAS or Food or DVDs or Comic Books and or Porn so what do you have to stop buying?
I really liked the issue of captain america totally blew my mind man. I love your reviews you guys crack me up . rock on keep comics alive. liked Locke and key #2 and can't wait for the next book. check out my review of Kickass http://vipersofeden.wordpress.com/
Um... So is Marvel picking up the tab for the show now??? Love the show three times a week but would like to hear about something other then Marvel in your Big Three at the beginning.
Stay tuned.
3 shows a week is the way to go.
i am a total sucker for any superman title that comes out.
if i dont read it its like i missed out on something epic even if it sucks. whatever i do i can't walk away from the superman title cause KURT BUSIEK is doin a great job.
Hey guys.
Great show today, even the Speed Round was really informative. I completely agree with your examples of when a comic has fallen from grace due to a new writer.
Ultimates 2 (one of the greatest books ever)
Ultimates 3 (Good GOD, what the hell is going on with it)
Exiles 1-89 (My favourtie book, loved the fact that there were 18 issues a year, I could not get enough)
Exiles 90 - New Exiles 3 (It is soooooo depressing reading this).
Whats even worse is that I keep buying both of these just so that I can have complete collections (damn OCD!!!!)
I secretly hope that New Exiles will survive Claremont's run and can go back to its old format and style.
Love the three shows a week. You have my vote for it to continue.
First off, Iron Man. I've been getting this title since issue #1 and its been consistently great and keeps getting better. That 2 page splash was awesome.
What can you say about Brubaker's Cap that hasn't already been said? Anyone who isn't reading this is missing out on a classic run that will be talked about for the next 50 years.
As much as I'd like to read Iron Fist, the art on the book up til now has put me off. On top of that its a character I dont know anything about so cant work up any interest.
If you want to see previews of all three of these books they are on CBR

The Cap preview in particular is extremely good.
As for books I'd leave if the creative team changed, I'd say Captain America. It was only pure luck that I jumped onto Iron Man and Cap at all, basically because their numbering was re-set and it was a good jumping on point. I dont think I could read Cap after Bru leaves.
Spider-Man on the other hand I stick with through thick and thin.
(great show, you guys crack me up!) Titles I hit regularly: Astro City, but that's always the same team. The Flash, Amazing Spider-Man, anything with the Squadron Supreme, and anything colored by Matt Hollingsworth. What ever he colors, I'll buy. And there's been a lot of knock-offs of his color palette in the last ten years too, which I'm happy with, but his are different and I always enjoy a book he works on. I guess that brings up a side question for you big brains in the big apple: Colorists, how important are they, what do they contribute to the experience, how effective can they be, can they ruin a story for you, can they improve it?
I'm so sorry to say that I stuck with "Thunderbolts" through that entire "Fight Club" thing just because I loved the book so much and thought all that would somehow tie back in to... the Thunderbolts! Boy, was the egg in my face that day.
I am a sucker for Garth Ennis. I buy pretty much everything he does. I even buy his WWII stuff and I hate war comics. I aslo had to comment on creative teams with Ennis too. He and Dillon did a 67 or 68 issue run on Preacher and I think that is what made it the phenomenon it was consistently great art and story will build a huge fanbase.
Jeff
I'm a sucker for Warren Ellis and anything involving zombies. I stopped collecting Ironman a little while ago, I gave it way too many chances. I agree with there review of it. I was wondering if iron fist 13 was a good issue to jump into the series with, any thoughts?
Loving the 3 updates a week. I've loved Iron Man, its been a really interesting story, I think due to intrigue. The reveal was easy to spot, but the arc has been great to read, if only it worked in the rest of the Marvel Universe.
I've been a sucker for Spider-Man, with all of the teams. Its been hard of late, with One More Day retconing away my collection, and Brand New Day shifting teams so frequently that there is not much to really grab onto. I just struggle to get over the hero that took me into comics.
3 shows!!
Loving this three times a week thing. And I love tote bags.
I'm a sucker for Ultimate X-men, it sucks so much right now. Like hardcore suckage , but I have every issue and a subscription.
I forced myself to give up the Flash a couple of months ago, and I hope it will get better so I can collect it again.
I'm usually a big sucker for Avengers comics I can't help but keep collecting them eventhough I've been dissapointed the past few years.
I can't seem to get enough of Nightwing and Aquaman, both of which seem to have had everything thrown at them at one time or another.
I'm a sucker for Judd Winnick just now also, green arrow, trials of shazam and the outsiders where all fantastic.
Oh n is it just me that thinks a lot of titles suffered heavily from the one year after event during Infinite Crisis, i just found the whole "all this stuffs happened and we're not gonna tell you about it for 6 months" so frustrating
Nightwing, Im hoping he going to break out and make a huge difference in the dc world
Iron Man? You don't know why you don't talk about Iron Man? Iron Man's either a Skrull, or just a prick. I go right by his books, and any books he's in, just for this reason. Civil War just killed the character for me. Which -- if I'm not alone in feeling this way makes them coming out with an Iron Man movie, or a new Iron Man animated series next year, not such a great idea if he remains a prick or a Skrull.

You are missing out on one of the great books if you are skipping Iron Man. You may not like Stark, but because of his position in SHIELD he is very significant to the whole Marvel universe. Before when he was just Stark Industries he didnt matter much, but the last couple years he's been central to nearly everything that occurs. His getting a new book may be just taking advantage of the movie hype, or it may be because Nick Fury is about to return and take back the Director of Shield book Iron Man is currently in. They've done several of those weird lead swaps recently.
As for the movie, its going to be huge. The new Spider-Man, as opposed to the new Fantastic Four.
i stay with xmen and the hulk
I still like the flash , even though it goes up and down it had a good run for awhile. the bart allen flash was good not great and the first arc with wally west back was kool too. I just hope they can just move the story along in the right places and get a good artist to stay on the book for more than two issuses
A Flash rumor from LITG:
Barry Allen will return, leading the Black Lantern Corps.
Dude... There's a reason they spoiler texted that on LITG.
I thought they hid it so they didnt disillusion their Marvel audience by reporting anything DC.
I am a sucker for teen titans and robin despite the crap tt writing
