Love the 3 epidoes a week

    • Bombardem wrote on March 17, 11:32 am

Three shows a week good, table bad.
Hey Pete, there's this cool feature from Marvel called Advanced Solicitations, you might check it out and find out that Ellis is doing The Punisher until issue 60...what got you confused, well other than all those words, was that this is the last story arc, not last issue. Or you can read what Tim Bradstreet says about it

Another Geeky attribute would have to be my fascination with 19th Naval fiction like the Aubrey/Maturin novels by Patrick O'brian , but I also just read WWZ by Max Brooks has anybody read that its a great survival horror novel. Again Great Show guys.

    • Avin Harr (anon) wrote on March 17, 11:58 am

great job guys. three times a week is great. it would be totally awesome if it was like every day.
as for the #2 it would definitely be GRANT MORRISON

On St Patrick's Day, we learn a deep, dark secret about Pete.

I am a Star Wars dork. I try to learn everything about the fictional universe.

    • Rob (anon) wrote on March 17, 12:47 pm

Great job guys, it would be better if you did the show five days a week, but that's just me.

Oh, and does Pete know that Garth Ennis is still writing the rest of this Punisher arc. You might wanna tell him before he starts sobbing.

    • Kathleen [Clemente] (anon) wrote on March 17, 1:31 pm

You did a great job! It turned out really well, and I love it! We all watched it in school =] It was really cool seeing it live.

      A Clemente student,
      Kathleen

Huh. Display Spider-Man on the table, but don't talk about it. Huh. I'm gonna assume you LOVE BRAND NEW DAY!

    • SuperStevePrime2thaMax! (anon) wrote on March 17, 1:44 pm

Spider-Man BND is OK, but they should've divorced Pete & MJ like responsible adults, giving a good mature model, rather than presenting the idea that separation==deal-with-the-f*ing-devil! Come on. (ultimate human is awesome!)

    • SuperStevePrime2thaMax! (anon) wrote on March 17, 1:41 pm

The guest host gals were great!

    • TheNextChampion (anon) wrote on March 17, 1:46 pm

Sound like the cops are on your trail...Did you steal those kids? lol

A bit of a short episode, but nice review for The Order though. I'd love to hear more about Incredible Herc, that is a series that just shouldnt be awesome right now, considering Herc took over Hulk for this comic. Yeah and Ennis is with the comic til #60, it's his last ARC...Arc Pete. Yeah cause it's a smart move to end your run on a To Be Continued....*rolls eyes* Oh I hope you noticed MY sarcasm there.

    • Chico51 wrote on March 17, 4:04 pm

I am glad that Pulp will be on 3 times a week. I truly hope that you guys stay that way for now on. I have just started reading comic books about 3 months ago. This show has been a BIG help in me picking out some great works: Umbrella Academy, Incredible Herc, Y: the Last Man, X-Force, and Buffy and much more. The question I have right now is that, there are a lot of Trades and Graphic Novels that you and others have recommended that are must haves. But there are other New issues that I want to pick up. If you had a choice which one would you go with, new material that can suck or be great? Or go with trades/graphic novels that are proven? Keep up the great work and I'll be watching.

    • Joe (anon) wrote on March 17, 7:58 pm

Another great show from 3 of the funniest blokes on the internet. The MWF format is brilliant, keep it up!

    • Fonlon wrote on March 17, 8:28 pm

Amazing show. I also hate thin paper. Video games are another vice of mine. Pete didn't mention his plush toy collection though.

    • Bombardem wrote on March 17, 9:52 pm

Wow, Pulp Secret's new 3 a week shows have spurred on the competition to new efforts! Just announced today http://www.ifanboy.com/ is going to do a show EVERY DAY! Thats right, every day!

To admit my own supreme geekiness, I am into Pro Wrestling, role playing games, and tattoos.

    • Doorman wrote on March 19, 8:48 am

Hey, I like the 3 shows a week thing. Hopefully you can keep it up.

Flight of the Phantom Eagle #1, Incredible Herc #115, the Order and More!

Ack! We've become 12 year old girls!

A big thanks to the students from Roberto Clemente JHS.

In this episode, we get our hands on more Newsarama Sneak Reviews. Starting with the WWI fighter pilot comic, Flight of the Phantom Eagle #1. Then, we get into some father issues with The Incredible Herc #115 and round it off with Issue #9 of The Order.

In the Speed Round, we cover The Punisher #55, Madman #7, Green Arrow & Black Canary #6, Scorn #1, and The Astounding Wolf-man #5.

Andy wrote in to tips@pulpsecret.com and asked us what other geeky pursuits we have besides comics. Find out what they are in this episode.
