Hey guys just wondering what other blogs other than the pulp secret are you guys on

    • Alcott_75 wrote on March 10, 3:37 pm

U guys should do 4-5 shows a week. I need less of a life than i have now. Going outdoors is overrated and risky...

    • Clinton (anon) wrote on March 10, 4:05 pm

    • deadenderic wrote on March 10, 4:39 pm

Good to hear that you're going to have 3 shows this week.
Why is Justin's answer to every viewer question Starman?
p.s. What does a slayer taco taste like?
      I bet its cheesy

Oh man, don't even get me started on the fall of Chris Claremont. I tried to stick with him for so long... but that recent Excalibur book? Exiles? Good God.

Oh, and the more times a week the better.

    • Alexander Zalben (anon) wrote on March 10, 6:19 pm

It was totally between him and John Byrne for me... Byrne lost, but boy was it close.

    • Xray085 wrote on March 10, 5:47 pm

Brian K Vaughn is currently untouchable but Pride of Baghdad wasn't that good I may dare to say that it was bad

    • Books on Table (anon) wrote on March 10, 6:07 pm

I got faked out. I thought they might talk about those books on their table =(

    • michael (anon) wrote on March 10, 6:12 pm

      Hysterical guys! Bravo! :)

Alex was great from start to finish. Great intro everyone, very professional start with clear dialogue instead of just mumbling and talking from everyone at once. I'd love to see this show 3 times a week!!

Angry Alex is funny. I love him. :) Um, the other Nun comic from the past is Warrior Nun Areala(sp). I don't think you guys need to address the Speed Round graphic, it's kind'a lame. I agree with Pete on the art of Benes on JLA. Alex's description of Buffy alone makes me want to check it out. lol.

I would say Clermont was awesome in the day. Now, New Excalibur SUCKS! Why is he obsessed with Psylocke?

    • Bombardem wrote on March 10, 6:38 pm

OMG @ slayer taco, I actually laughed out loud 3 or 4 times during this show, nicely done.
I read the Defenders preview, and it was fairly entertaining. I liked how Stark is discussing the Defenders and says he's an expert at designing superteams.

Its also sorta reminiscent of Deadpool in its art and humor without being over the top.
As a kid who went through the catholic school system I'd just like to say its no surprise at all that nuns are possessed by demons...

    • TheNextChampion (anon) wrote on March 10, 6:55 pm

No I will agree with Pete....for once...The way She-Hulk is drawn is alot better then usual. Although I dont mind sexy, it's nice its not a main focus like it is on her main comic. JLA is just a waste, it hasnt been good since the Morrison run in the 90's.

JLA was pretty decent with The Lighting Saga, but you guys are right; this stuff has been so dull and unimportant. It is nicely drawn, but man with all these heroes in one big comic...it's amazing how their single comics are more important then they are combined!

For favorite writer, I have too many actually. One I really like is Alan Moore and his work is so damn good. But I got to say, V for Vendetta is soooo boring! It's not like its bad, it's a classic in many eyes. But overall it's hard for me to read it cause (like most of his work) Moore made it difficult to read.

    • Mr. Fantastic (anon) wrote on March 10, 7:59 pm

BRAVO! Much better than the last few episodes. Thanks for bringing it back a notch on the slapstick!

      Much more enjoyable to watch!
      :)

Great episode guys. I love it when you seem to get along instead of the fighting that seems to happen sometimes.

My favorite writer is Robert Kirkman. I haven't read anything bad that he's done, but I've heard his run on Ultimate X-Men was horrible.

    • Lindsay (anon) wrote on March 10, 8:16 pm

Hey guys, have you ever given up on a series because of a change in its creative team? I bring this up because I had been a fan of the latest She-hulk series but now that Dan Slott isn't writing for it I find the book just doesn't have the same appeal that had kept me reading it.

    • I Eat Planets (anon) wrote on March 10, 10:03 pm

One writer that I usually enjoy thats making a crapfest right now has to be Loeb. Ultimates 3 is one of the biggest garbagepukes Ive ever read. The ruining of a great series, albeit slow, really makes me angry at Loeb. Mostly for anyone who has read the last issue of Ultimates 2 and the first issue of Ultimates 3. Its so confusing, I'm suppreised you guys haven't talked about it yet

    • Rich (anon) wrote on March 10, 10:32 pm

Pretty sure Garth Ennis wrote a badass nun book too.

    • Bombardem wrote on March 11, 2:51 am

It's hard to decide between Peter David, John Byrne, and Chriss Claremont, but I think I'd have to go with Claremont because he has probably accumulated the most crappy writing since his epic X-Men run(1975-1991).

    • mick ryan (anon) wrote on March 11, 7:51 am

Love the show guys. Delighted that it's going to be 3 times a week.

    • Chris_89 (anon) wrote on March 11, 9:48 am

hi just asking if you guys can give your opinion on The Exterminators from Vertigo.

    • leland222 wrote on March 11, 12:58 pm

      3 times a week! huzzah!!!

i would also like to know what you guys think of the vertigo comic the exterminators. it's actually getting canceled with issue 30 : (

great show guys and i am super jazzed about seeing the show 3 times a week!

    • el gran pachango (anon) wrote on March 11, 6:02 pm

Hi, guys, great show. I watch it religiously

My favorite comic writer of all time, Grant Morrison, has really let me down with his "monthly" titles.

Now, his All Star Superman may be the real only reason why paper & ink were invented, but the rest this days is just subpar.

I hope he gets his Mojo back =(

    • J.K.Sada (anon) wrote on March 11, 6:04 pm

Come on. Who doesn't like Brand New Day? For real, it's fun. 3x a month. I find it's not so hard to let go the JMS era.

    • Gavin (anon) wrote on March 13, 6:20 pm

      You guys are nuts...
      Cool show...
      Should be longer

    • Zack (anon) wrote on March 14, 7:07 pm

Dude, I know this is going to sound noobish but Frank Miller. Sin City was an amazing take on the noir style of writing and The Dark Knight Series is my favorite of all time. That being said, his new run on All-Star Batman and Robin is...bad. What is this crap about him being the God Da** Batman and he can name his Godda** car what he wants? Really dude?

Comic Book Reviews: The Last Defenders #1, Sisterhood #1 and JLA #19

Today, we've got Newsarama Sneak Reviews of The Last Defenders #1, Sisterhood #1 and Justice League of America #19.

Sorry the episode's a little late, guys. I, the behind-the-scenes guy who posts the episodes, got the flu and it took a little longer to get the episode up. Don't fear, Wednesday's and Friday's episodes will be there same time as always. Thanks for watching!

The Last Defenders is a new Defenders series, with some of old characters in the New Jersey initiative team. Sisterhood #1 was passed along to us by our friend Tom Sniegoski. It's a great read and we recommend picking it up. We're not as positive about JLA #19, but Pete likes the artwork.

The in the Speed Round we review X-Force #2, Zombies Vs. Robots Vs. Amazons #3, Echo #1, Justice League: The New Frontier Special #1, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer #12.

Rory in our viewer asks us who our favorite comic book writer is AND what is the worst book of theirs that we have read?

Tags : JLA, justice league, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, x-force, echo, defenders, sisterhood, zombies v robots v amazons
