By Odin's eyepatch! Creepy though the entire baby-stealer thing was, how can anyone hate a review show where an arm-wrestling match breaks out? (Or where one of the pluses about a book is that the title is short?THAT was hilarious!)

As for what I miss in comics most? The Hostess ads. Why are superheroes wasting their time fighting criminals when all they need to do is toss a couple of Twinkees at them?

Good to see real Comics book fans

BTW - Justin, it looks like you're going to get your Guardians of the Galaxy wish...sort of. Check out this story at Newsarama: http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=148414

      lol. :)

Great show guys! Arm wrestling bit was hilarious and I agree with Justin. Letters pages are not really something missed with the advent of the internet.

This will go down as the BEST Stack episode ever! I LOL'ed all the way to the end. Man, I just can't the image of cleaning my ass with staples out of my head! XD

Holy moly at the last user review, production values off the chain! :O

Hey another good show, loving it you guys are making the shows longer then before.

I'm surprised you guys sorta like She-Hulk at this point, since it's so universally panned by everyone else. I do agree with Pete though, I'm tired of her being addressed as a sexual female character. Now I know women in comics are always drawn as that, but if this is trying to be a serious comic; then a scene with a pantless She-Hulk isnt too dramatic.

I also didnt think Marvel Zombies 2 was that bad. It clearly wasnt as good as the first series, but it's good that they are trying to be consistant with the remaining characters. I love the idea of zombies not hungry anymore and if they make a third series, I'd love to see where they go with it.

What, no All Star Bats? You're killing me ova 'ere...

    • thinwhiteduke wrote on February 28, 4:22 pm

agreed! ALL STAR BATS absolutely cannot go unmentioned by you guys with this latest issue! I was disgusted, yet laughing throughout the whole damn thing. I think in retrospect I liked it. Please review on Comic Book Club,Stack or at very least the letters page. Will cbc podcast be up today alex?

      awesome show guys.

      i'm going to steal babies.

    • leland222 wrote on February 28, 7:23 pm

i also like editor notes. i've been reading a lot of marvel essentials lately and they all are stuffed with editor notes. i also enjoyed the notes in spider-man. i love you pete but i'm going to hold hands with alex in unification of our love for the brand new day spidey.

    • Bombardem wrote on February 28, 7:50 pm

I like the new standing at the table thing (thanks G4) but I cant help but wonder, was it creepier when you were sitting and holding hands under the table, or out in the open where everyone can see?
Someday Pete or Alex is going to actually finish their insightful comments about a book before being interrupted by Justin, and we'll actually hear an intelligent review, but not this week.

    • TheBlueLeopard wrote on February 28, 7:51 pm

Hey Pete, do you have any extra "Brand New Day" issues? I just ate a whole lot of Taco Bell.

Oh, and on that Blue Beetle vid — kinda reminds me a lot of TechJacket. Anyone else?

    • Tom Hehir (anon) wrote on February 28, 10:13 pm

Great show. I want to know what you guys think of the Exiles?? I've recently read up to issue 93 on the marvel website and love the series, what do you thing of it??

    • Lensman (anon) wrote on February 29, 4:09 am

It was great once but from issue 90 up until the end of its run it went from bad to worse. New Exiles seems to be a bit of an improvement on those later issues, but it just doesn't feel anywhere near as good as it was from #1-89.

    • Apocrypha wrote on February 29, 12:50 pm

Pete, that's just not fair or even reasonable to say about ASM. Clearly, you are not even reading it so how can you have a valid opinion on it? If you are reading it then you're a hypocrite. Clearly, either way you're screwed. :-P

    • PeteCBC wrote on March 1, 10:46 am

      Gee thanks Apocrypha,

I would like to give a shoot out, to Jobob247. Hang in there Alcott_75 it is coming.

    • Tecknic wrote on February 29, 4:23 pm

I liked the Blue Beetle bit at the end, although I have to say that squeezing a retcon into a character's backstory really doesn't strike me as the brightest of ideas. Even so, the character looks interesting.

    • Alcott_75 wrote on February 29, 5:52 pm

all star batman and the boy wonder. review it now or i will get angry. u wont like me when im angry...

    • jobob247 (anon) wrote on February 29, 7:50 pm

      I'm a jock and I love comics :D

    • Clive wrote on March 1, 4:53 am

Another great episode guys. I didn't read ANY of the comics you talked about, but still had fun watching the episode. I'm curious what you guys think about The Sword. I'm loving the series.

    • Bombardem wrote on March 1, 6:54 am

Blair from G4 loves The Sword, and usually reviews it every month or two. She talked about it 2 weeks ago. This week she talks about "Criminal, Sharkman, Almighty, Batman, and Kick-Ass."

If you guys like The Stack then you need to listen to their other podcast that is on iTunes. It's their live comic book show. It's longer and just as funny. CHECK IT OUT!!! It's called Comic Book Club: Live. They post stuff about it on here sometimes but they don't whore it as much as they should.

Comic Reviews: Comic Book Comics, She-Hulk #26 and Marvel Zombies 2 #5

We've got a Newsarama Review of She-Hulk #26. We like what Peter David is doing with this series. In this issue She-Hulk's has some identity issues and is questioning whether or not she's a hero. Spoiler Alert: She-Hulk gets her pants blasted off!

We also review Marvel Zombies 2 #5. We're not completely thrilled with the final issue of this series. It felt like the characters were a bit removed from their environment.

Comic Book Comics deals with the history of comic books in the form of a comic. It truly represents what a comic is all about and we think it's really well done and a great read for beginners.

In the Speed Round we review Shadow Pact #22, The Flash #237, Immortal Iron Fist:One-Shot, Zorro #1, and The Spirit #14.

Stack viewer Jose asks about how comic books have changed throughout the years and what we miss about old comics. Then, Pete and Alex face off in an arm wrestling match. Seriously.

Thanks to Spacekicker on YouTube for his great Blue Beetle Primer. Check out...
