Nice one, and not a Marvel book until the Speed Round.

Hope you guys make it out alive. Pete, put that boomstick to good use.

Alex needs to come back next week in full zombie make-up.

Loved your picks this week. Can't wait to read Invincible, and completely agree with your reviews of X-Factor, Wolverine, The Walking Dead, and Punisher: Force of Nature. All great stuff.

I've been collecting x-factor, for awhile and almost every time I buy it I regret it. I love multiple man but feel like the series doesn't know where its going. I liked the last issue hopefully this story arc brings me back.

Kirkman week! YAH! I happen to really love X-Factor, err I mean, Multiple Man: The Comic..Peter David has still got it (mostly) and this comic shows that.

One-shot speaking I loved The Pro, that shit is fun. FUN.

As far as a question - With the geek season coming up, what would you guys consider to be proper convention etiquette with comic creators? What are the best ways to get sketches, and what do you think is a fair price for a sketch? Are their any definite do's and dont's?

interesting site. your colour is really bad. The red against the grey makes it hard to read. Are trying (trying too hard?) to be hip (by using non-traditional colours) or are you trying to communicate?

You can be hip and communicate at the same time, you know. Make the red lighter or very dark.

      thank you

Hi, keep up the good work. whats with the clashing colours on the main pages, I cant read the text unless I highlight it. Please change back.

    • DrDoobious wrote on February 18, 8:27 pm

wow, peopled asked for a little variety in the episodes, and you provided, big time haha

    • cubsmodano wrote on February 18, 10:43 pm

So, is the website screwed up, do I have a bad internet connection, or is gray the new background color for the webpage? If it's the latter, please change it. This is really hard to read off of, and I have to highlight half of the text to get it to show up.

great show! is it oscar time already?

apropos of nothing, george romero's zombies didnt specify brains, they eat everything but the scream. it was romero's former colleague john russo whose zombies preferred something more cerebral. zombie knowledge courtesy of the romero interview in judge dredd megazine.

Off on a slight tangent, but am I the only one who thinks all those Marvel Zombies books are rubbish?!?! Seriously!!!

Does Pride of Baghdad count as a one shot? I thought it was Epic. Keep up the good work and much love.

The Wolverine one-shot this year was amazing. It was one of those books that really got me back into comics. Daredevil was pretty amazing this year as well. Superman confidential #12 did look like the animated series, but I am hoping in #13 the story picks up.

      Thanks a lot.

Comic Book Reviews: Invincible #48, JLA #18 and Superman Confidential #12

More Newsarama Sneak Reviews coming your way!

For this episode, we got our hands on Invincible #48, where we found a nice assortment of regulars from the Image universe. Atom Eve is back and although this book is short on story, we still recommending picking it up.

Justice League of America #18 is a follow-up on the story line where the villains were sent to prison on another planet. It's a decent issue but we think it serves as filler and hope there's better stuff coming.

Then in Superman Confidential #12, Jimmy Olsen's still causing trouble. The book feels a lot like the Superman animated series and the art by Phil Hester is really top-notch.

In the speed round, we picked five books that we highly recommend. Check out Seventy Six #2, X-Factor #28, Wolverine #62, The Walking Dead #46 and The Punisher: Force of Nature.

Then in the Mailbag we talk about our favorite "one-shot" comics. Kevin from Olympia, WA has a soft spot for Evan Dorkin's Fight Man.

    Tell us what your favorite...
