Just found out about you guys! Effin' love the show!

You guys keep me smiling and chuckling the whole time (and, as I suffer from the dreaded condition known as Web Balls, that's no small feat).

Hopefully, The Stack (now available in both pill and suppository) will be just the remedy I need to alleviate my loathsome Web Balls. Thanks, guys!

Hi. Gonna keep it short. I would like to see more DC reviews.
Thanks and keep up the good work

      this show brightens my day

    • dirtywhitebrian wrote on January 28, 2:01 pm

Definitely would like to see some more DC in the first part of the show. I also like when you guys cover stuff from all publishers which you guys do pretty well in the speed round (WOAAAH!). But loved when you guys did Zombies vs. R vs. A the other episode.

      great work guys

    • Sekot wrote on January 28, 2:06 pm

Do not change a thing! I think you guys review stuff in order of quality. 1. Marvel 2.DC 3. Everything else. As far as I'm concerned everything is perfect. Also you need to appeal to masses. So to start review stuff that has the least amount of the market share is just bad business. Stack rules!!

    • Gary Anderson wrote on January 28, 2:10 pm

      Hey Guys,

I would love it if you would cover more DC books, regardless of the delay as to when they come out. Marvel gets far too much unearned attention for their work. DC, Image and some other comic lines deserves greater exposure. Thanks.

    • Bombardem wrote on January 28, 2:44 pm

Its true, Marvel comes out with 5-6 page previews of nearly every main title of theirs, releasing 4-5 titles per day, and DC almost never does it or its not making it to CBR and Newsarama. Also the Marvel.com website is just awesome, and the DC site blows chunks. When Wizard fired all of their innovative and creative web staff Marvel hired them and they put out a nice easy to use site thats updated daily with new material.
The show could review more DC stuff that came out last week I'm sure, but I know I want reviews of whats coming out this or next week more than old news. Its also easier to do the graphics for the show with images that are already scanned and on the internet, the DC books they'd have to do a lot of work to get in.
On top of all that lets face it...DC sucks! Bwahahaha!

    • Avin Harr wrote on January 29, 2:13 pm

marvel may seem innovative but all they do do is use cliched material. dc is by far the best comics company dealing with real SUPERHEROES. MARVEL SUCKS AND screw the sales figures.

    • richbob wrote on January 29, 4:07 pm

So you're CRISIS saying that CRISIS comics from DC CRISIS don't just fall CRISIS back on CRISIS cliches?

    • Moeez wrote on January 28, 3:02 pm

Hilarious episode, always watch this to brighten up my day :). I'd like you guys to review some DC, but I can understand all the Marvel coverage because they're good at previews and have been doing very good issues, it's quality. DC stuff is pretty sparse, like there's only Green Arrow, Green Lantern, and Batman.

Would like you guys to basically mix it up, have indie and "whatever!". Thanks!

    • Bouncing Boy wrote on January 28, 4:02 pm

I really would love more DC reviews. I am fairly new to comics and I have been trying to get into Marvel, but right now I'm a DC guy. So, please do more DC reviews.

P.S. Someone mentioned the websites, and while DC's is a little basic, I find it impossible to navagate the Marvel one at all.

    • Kree_boy411 wrote on January 28, 4:10 pm

Found been watching your show for awile now...
All that can be said is FREAKIN AWSOME!....Keep everything the way it is..

Thanks guys keep up the good work.

Not a big DC fan (except for the amazing Blue Beetle and Green Lantern titles) so keep it up with the great Marvel reviews.

    • Human Eclipse wrote on January 28, 5:26 pm

I like Marvel and I'm okay that Marvel is mostly what you talk about, but a little DC or other companies woulnd't hurt. I think of it as a way of advertising the books (which is what it is), but I mean like the old days of comics when someone made a reference to another book and there was that little "*" that told you to look at a caption on the page and learn what book they're talking about. I think of this show that way. It let's me know a little of what's going on in other books and could spark some interest in me. So maybe that's why you should talk about non-Marvel books. That way, I know what else is going on and it might spark an interest. Just don't forget Marvel, that's all.

    • cubsmodano wrote on January 28, 7:13 pm

Nice episode, I prefer having more Marvel then DC, but a variety is nice overall. Mix in the Image, Wildstorm, Dark Horse, etc. books, but don't let them take over the show.

"Our kid sucks but he has potential..." - Awesome

    • Clive wrote on January 28, 7:14 pm

Personally, the thing I most enjoy is seeing what you guys think about comic books that I've already read. That's why I read comic books... to discuss them with other people as they are released. Otherwise, I'd just buy trades. So I'm not too interested in seeing preview issues on this show.

The comics I think you should talk about on the show are ones that you have strong feelings towards, either love or hate. I don't much enjoy seeing you guys just say "Eh, it's okay." Any comic that is going to make Pete and Justin argue is great also.

So, mostly Marvel is fine, because Marvel books are the highest selling books, but just doing reviews for them because you guys get the books early doesn't work for me.

Love the show. Haven't read any of the books you talked about, so nothing to say about those.

Also, Justin and Alex are both girls for knowing that much about Dawson's Creek. I'm with Pete... never seen the show.

    • Jake Masinick wrote on January 28, 8:39 pm

I would appreciate as a view more DC being a DC man myself. But, yet I enjoy the Marvel reviews. It keeps me up to date or aware of current Marvel activity.

    • Shinobi Shaw wrote on January 28, 8:47 pm

I found you guys through TiVo and never miss a show! Do not change a thing, this show is hilarious just the way it is! Of course as a Marvel fan I can't complain.

Keep up with the funny, brings laughter every single time!

hey guys, i just move to canada from guyana and by the grace of the gods (yes there is more than one god-there's jesus christ and the father) i found your show by accident one night. (not before taking a look at a comic book orange). ANYWAY, i thought the show is excellent. i luv the fact that fans actually take the time to review comics and make intelligent critism (lol). i come from a country where reading comics is an embarassin thing to do for a 20 year old guy. i luv this country and especially your show. thank u for providing the essential nutrients for an eager fanboy.
now the thing is i'm a dc fan and i'd love to see more reviews on some dc books ( if its not too much trouble). i especially like the speed round

    • Richard Kimber wrote on January 29, 5:12 am

      The show's great.

I'd like to see more Dark Horse and Indy comics. Also, I used to enjoy your outdoor comedy skits. Didn't really like the Spider-man 3 coverage though.

I want "Our kid sucks but he has potential..." on a t-shirt.

I don't really read any DC books regularly so many Marvel reviews are fine with me.
I'd really just like the show to be longer. You guys seem like you rush through the thing. You must be on salary and not getting paid by the hour.

    • Stormbreaker wrote on January 29, 10:20 am

      Love the show.

As an old school Marvel Zombie, I don't mind the amount of Marvel reviews. You do seem to get a fair amount of DC and Indy comments in your other segments. SO maybe through a few really good stories, or collections into the main conversation, otherwise leave it as it is.

    • TheNextChampion (anon) wrote on January 29, 12:53 pm

A Show that's almost 12 minutes long? Sweet Juicy Jesus!!

Awesome show guys! Seriously, its been like 3-4 months since I've seen a good show and you guys were actually indepth with the reviews. Now when Y:The Last Man last issue, Captain America #34, and maybe Messiah Complex end could be a special long episode because all of these issues need to be talked about greatly.

As for what I think needs to be done more on the show. Obviously keep the show longer, no more 6-8 minute shows ever. But I would like to see more Trade Paperbacks/Hardbacks because there are good ones coming out every week. Like yesterday at Barnes and Noble they had a Jack Kirby's Fourth World Essential out and it was pretty good to relive that experience. So yeah...more TPB's

    • Bombardem wrote on January 29, 1:58 pm

Its funny, the one time you guys ask for input on show content, and I Eat Planets doesnt show up to ask for more POWERS!

    • richbob wrote on January 29, 4:08 pm

      Truth.

    • Andrew (anon) wrote on January 29, 2:16 pm

I actually hadn't noticed your "bias."
If there's anything I want to see more of, it's stuff from indie publishers. I could be down with that. In order to make room eehhhhhhh I wouldn't be mad if you took out some DC. I think we could still be friends.

      from andrew

    • Ted_Kord_Lives wrote on January 29, 4:51 pm

I liked it a little better when you guys started out and the three main review would be one Marvel, one DC and one Indy book and then the Speed Round would cover a little of everything. So personally I'd prefer it if you went back to the more even spread.

    • imaginary dave wrote on January 29, 5:44 pm

marvel versus dc versus indie? I'd like to see more indie and more international. then again, I watch the show because you guys are funny, so if you're not reading those comics I'd rather you didnt fake it.

    • McBangle wrote on January 29, 7:19 pm

I'd like to see some more DC and Indies. Otherwise, keep it up! You guys rock!!

    • batmanfan#1 wrote on January 29, 10:06 pm

    • Oldguy wrote on January 29, 10:26 pm

Mix some DC & indies in with the Marvel. Variety is the spice of something or other.

And you guys met in comedy improv? So when does the funny start?

    • anotheroldguy wrote on January 29, 10:45 pm

You guys are great! Keep it up. Discovered you via tivo and it reminded me of how much I enjoy comics! Thanks!

    • Bouncing Boy wrote on January 30, 1:07 am

Totes agree with Ted_Kord_Lives. And also Clive, I like it better when you guys discuss stuff that's out. But I liked it better when you balanced it out a bit more, something for everybody.

    • AndreZero wrote on January 30, 11:12 am

I'd like to see more reviews of indie titles. I'm curious what you guys think about books like The Middleman, Atomic Robo and Drafted. I'm more interested in "is this series worth picking up" type reviews than "the latest issue of batman has batman in it" type stuff. I do however like when you are reviewing a story arc. I started getting the sinestro corp war stories after you guys gave it such glowing reviews.

    • metamorphic wrote on January 30, 11:39 am

I also liked it when you guys kind of mixed it up a bit more with more of a "Marvel/DC/Indie" split. Because I don't read a lot of indie stuff, I'm always curious about what others recommend and why. In fact, you guys have been so enthusiastic about The Umbrella Academy, I'm going to start picking it up (albeit in trade form as, alas, the early issues aren't in my comic shop any longer). I'm also looking for the old "Zombies versus Robots' series. So the more variety, the better!

Mix it up! Love Marvel to death (to DEATH, or afterlife...). But I find that a lot of comics that I get intrigued with are from other places like IDW and Oni Press.

How many time must we watch a group of men graphically abuse Tigra? The first time, though shocking, was an effective tool to establish the relationship between our hero and villain, and secure our villain's, uh, villainy :). But the scene with Tigra in the new Annual, particularly the last few panels, seemed incredibly gratuitous and unnecessary. Any thoughts?

    • RaikoLives wrote on February 2, 9:52 am

I already buy my comics late (weeks, sometimes months) so I'm not too worried if you guys review stuff late. I'd like to see more DC, since I'm leaning towards them at the moment. I was stoked when you guys had Nightwing on your show (Why IS he in NYC?). Marvel stuff I used to love, but I think I out grew it all. More DC reviews would make me happy. Or even just Power Girl. Go Power Girl! Woo!

    • Brons wrote on February 3, 12:18 am

Comic Book Previews of Three Avengers Books, Blue Beetle, and More!

We've got a handful of Newsarama Sneak Reviews. First up is Mighty Avengers #8, written by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley. Find out why the guys compare it to Dawson's Creek.

Then, we check out Avengers: The Initiative #9 by Dan Slott, which Justin compares to the Silmarillion because it's bringing in lots of elements from many other titles.

In the third Newsarama Sneak Review, we check out The New Avengers Annual #2. Nonstop action and a huge story make for a great book. Definitely worth picking up. Then in our speed round, we cover The Authority Prime, Legion of Super-Heroes #38, Blue Beetle #23, The Living Corpse #1, and Johnny Hiro #3, a solid indie.

In our viewer mail, Grayson2006 asks how the three of us met and wound up hosting The Stack together.
