Seemed a bit light on content this episode, with shorter reviews, less comics in the speed round, and only one viewer question. Add in an extra commercial, and no Comic Book Orange in the last few weeks, and I can't help but worry if the Pulpsecret.com is jumping the shark...

Read the show description... You're gonna get TWO new episodes of The Stack every week. Better?

It feels like you guys love almost every book you read. Do you hate anything?

    • alexstack wrote in reply on November 19, 2:10 pm

In case it wasn't clear, we didn't particularly like Salvation Run :)

    • Percent20ed_Out wrote on November 19, 2:23 pm

I understand that you guys are now doing twice as many shows now, but when you do them so quickly, it makes it feel more like you're just doing the show because you have to, when before, it was more slow paced, and it felt more like you guys were right here in my living room or something. It felt much more natural. Plus, Justin had more time to make his witty banter that I loved so very very much.

Don't go changing on me, baby.

Just popping in to say, Dragonball Z! Thank you, bye.

great show! that said it seemed alot shorter this week :[ But then again I am thrilled to have 2 Stacks a week!!!

    • The Maestro X wrote on November 19, 7:11 pm

I have to agree with what has been stated above. This new format (shorter but weekly) is very bitter sweet. Me love me some Stack, so getting it twice a week is AWESOME. This will also reduce the chance of some great books going unnoticed! (Also, 2 DC reviews today!! thanks!). However the bitter part comes that it did seem very rushed. I think a large part of the appeal of the show is the "fun-ness" and casualness of it all, which seemed to be lacking this episode. Hopefully a happy medium will be struck, because I do like the sound of 2 episodes a week.

It just goes to the old maxim, you cant please all the people all the time...
I know a lot of viewers are new, so dont remember 6 or 8 months ago when they used to do the show 3-4 times a week, almost daily. But every episode was like 2 to 4 minutes long. "Thats a Pulp Secret!" So the show is an ever evolving creature. I wouldnt get too worked up about it.

    • The Maestro X wrote in reply on November 20, 2:53 am

I dont really think its a question of appreciating the evolution though. Its more about what is good and what works. And IMO, and the feeling Im getting from a number of otehrs is that the longer duration allows for more comments reharding the comics and letters, and for more comedy. I think the comedy is important because it is what seperates it from the other web shows, in that their comedy is actually good. But the content is equally important becaus eit is the reason we are watching at all. To limit either reduces what seperates them from the other shows, and why we watch them.

The show was so brief this week. Left me wanting more. What did you guys think of Captain Marvel this week?

    • Bombardem wrote on November 20, 3:34 am

The thing is Maestro, when they went from the old short format to The Stack people complained about the new long format too, though not a lot of people. I dont really care too much, just as long as they dont go the direction of CBO, we get enough of that crap on G4 and Reelz. Greenscreen and bad impressions does not = clever in anyones book.

    • The Maestro X wrote on November 20, 8:09 am

Ok, so from the sounds of things you have been here alot longer than me. So, in your opinion what format has been best, and why? IYO.

    • Bombardem wrote on November 21, 2:36 am

I wouldnt say one is better than any other, theyre just different. My bigger concern would be the drop off of blog entries the last few weeks. Maybe its the holiday or something, but one or two entries a day seems a tad light to me, considering how many possible stories are out there.

    • alexstack wrote in reply on November 24, 10:05 am

Yeah, it was Thanksgiving this week, dude. As much as my family would like me to blog about comics, I said, "No. I'm eating Turkey." They were not happy, let me tell you.

    • The Maestro X wrote on November 21, 5:08 am

Well I know for me, with the two different formats i have seen, i prefer the style with maximum content plus enough time for some laughs in between.

But, hey, why dont they just do a half hour show everyday. I think that will suit everybody. its not like they have anything else to do......right?

    • il_frengo wrote on November 22, 12:04 pm

hi guys, great show this week and great the idea of two episodes :)

    • Superboy-Prime wrote in reply on November 25, 12:15 am

I too am bummed that their was no second entry this week. But come on its Thanksgiving even the three amigos need a break. I recomend that you do a show [maybe not every week but ocassionally] on viewer mail tho. That way we can get more reviews, and wity banter :]

    • Mr. Fantastic wrote on November 25, 1:25 am

I like the new format, and I am also interested in what you all have to say about Captain Marvel. I hope you have time to review this one.
