I kinda agree with Pete, The thing I hate about the manga are the emotional big eyes.

another great show, i love the fact that you guys don't just stick with staple comics like x-men and such but do the new comics too, great great show

Is it just me or does BRIT just look a lot like Moebius's art from the old Heavy Metal magazines? Maybe The Airtight Garage Of Jerry Cornelius. I forget, the 70's are becoming a tad blurry (well they were pretty blurry back then too).

I just dont like manga or anime for that matter. When I say im a comic fan i mean im a COMIC BOOK fan not a pokemon or naruto fan. That stuff in my oppoin just sucks.

I'm loving your show. It's great to see what you guys think of books that I'm reading and to hear about the ones that I'm not reading.

I've answered the call you guys put out last week and I've made my own video comic review. It's of the last 3 issues of the Spidey titles before 'One More Day', which you can check out here : http://youtube.com/watch?v=BXf9t9okcf0 or on the blog that's linked to my name.

Love to hear your thoughts, and thanks for continuing to entertain me on a weekly basis :)

Please stick to just comics and not manga, unless it's a crossover situation. Manga has plenty of outlets for discussion if its fans want it, let's try to keep this focused on the funny books.

Good show. WIth out Justin there that table is a decent size. You guys should get a slightly larger table to set the books on for future broadcasts when all three of you are present.

I love comics in all forms, even manga, but I don't watch your show for manga reviews. So please stick with recent comics, guys. Also, there's nothing wrong with the Essential collection. I love the idea of getting to read Lee and Kirby's entire run on Fantastic Four for 15 bucks for 20 issues.

I hate the B&W reprints. I mistakenly bought some of the Fourth World reprints from Amazon.com which forgot to mention the fact that they were black and white on newsprint in their description. Half the beauty of Kirbys artwork is the inking an dcoloring, maybe more. They used some tryuly outlandish coloring that set a whole tone to the books. I felt like giving these reprints to my 4 year niece to color for me...

wow another good show fellas! Since when does pete and alex get along and not bicker for an entire eppisode? HAHAH! Please dont start reviewing just manga. There's a billion and one manga sites... none of which I am interested in. I like western comic art. I wont even buy a comic if it looks too anime influenced. I'm not trying to offend any one but I just dont like it. And essental line stuff is cool to read at borders but I wouldnt ever buy it...

Another great show guys, though I did miss little Justin, and thanks for the great tips, I've just finished Mice Templar and LOVED IT!!!! I think it's what might have happened had Mike Mignola wanted to do his version of Watership Down...

Another great take on new books, but Justin's presence was missed. As an experimant, perhaps the next time one of the triumvirate is out for whatever reason, the remaining two can have solo spots?

    • Grakarg wrote on September 10, 2:35 am

Thanks for the great show, I agreed with all the points on all three books, both the good points and the bad.

Also, I'm surprised you haven't yet reviewed Booster Gold #1. I loved it and can't wait for more stories of the 'worst' of the greatest heros! Review it!

I have a challenge for you one of you guys (probably Alex). Give a manga title called "Death Note" a chance. It's honestly one of my favorite comics ever with a really unique story and a frequently changing status quo. There's almost zero action in it though, but it loaded with suspense.
