      The best comic based film in my book is the first X-Men movie. All the way through that film I kept thinking "Oh my God, someone finally gets it." However Superman Returns is climbing up my list. I've watched it a dozen or so times now and it still gives me what Pete would call "man tears" all the way through.

      With nods to Road to Perdition, A History of Violence and Sin City, I would have to say it was a tie between X-men II and Spidey II.
      X1 made wolvie too much of a wuss, Punisher was weak (Ya sure Lapaged that pick).
      The Incredibles was fantastic, but it has the unfair advantage of never having existed to us prior to the film. The reason most of the other films are held under such a harsh light is because they are characters we know and have known for years. That being said, I believe it was one of the best superhero movies ever made. So far...

      Justin Lives! Alex and Pete tricked me into getting into a rocket and blasted me to San Diego because they thought I was too dangerous for New York. But they didn't count on me making it back... Watch out Alex and Pete, be prepared for World War Justin!!

      @Superboy-Prime: LOL! Daredevil... ugh.

      I feel like Sin City really changed the game and is one of my favorites. I always have to watch The Crow when it is on.

      Here's one no one thinks of, "Masters of the Universe" from way back in '88. Now I admit, it's kind of a lousy He-Man movie, but if you think of it as a movie based on Jack Kirby's The New Gods, it's pretty good.

      Without Justin there didn't seem to be any perverted commented...which is just tragic. And I have to agree, Masters of the Universe is not only the best comic book movie, but probably the best movie ever made

      How can anyone forget Barbarella? Now thats an all-time classic.

    • Jen Grunwald wrote on August 8, 9:16 pm

      But He-Man wasn't a comic, he was a toy! How can that count?!
