Virgin Comics' The Stranded debuts this week. Does the artwork and Mike Carey's story hold up to the scrutiny of The Stack? And we're loving Zombies vs. Robots vs. Amazons. Issue 2 hits stands this week and sadly there's only one more issue left.

Shadowline's Cemetery Blues #1 is, according to Pete, "a lot of fun". It's a monster hunt set in the past. Then in the speed round, we're talking about The Umbrella Academy #5, Amazing Spider-man #547, New Exiles #1, Fell, and Fear Agent.

Pulp Secret had a chance encounter with director Kevin Smith as he was leaving New York Comic Con 2007 for the day. His escort: an impromptu security detail consisting of costumed Stormtroopers, blinded by their fanboy mentality. The stormtroopers' misguided attempts to unofficiallly escort Kevin Smith are caught on tape.
