    • DMZ

POSTED BY PETE LEPAGE, JANUARY 19 2008 10:25 PM | PERMALINK

Damn you DMZ. You are so well written and enjoyable. Every issue I pick up I say, oh I hope this isn’t another back-story issue about one person. And it is, but it always ends up being such a great issue. I am so torn. I enjoy the DMZ so much, that it is all I want to read about. Knowing the characters is cool, but the DMZ that is what it is all about. I want to get back in there. How much longer am I going to have to endure well written back story issues?

    • Wilson!

POSTED BY PETE LEPAGE, NOVEMBER 18 2007 09:51 AM | PERMALINK

How do you know if your comic is really good? If you can stop and give background information on a character in your comic and no one cares. DMZ is so well written and drawn, I don’t mind that they paused the current story arc to go back and tell us about Wilson. I think it says a lot about the comic that they are doing something like this. Don’t get me wrong; I might get upset if we started to get a bunch of background comics on the characters in DMZ. I feel like we are in too deep for that kind of...

A pretty wild story from over at Scott King's blog. Mr. King is an editor at Th3rd World Studios and on a recent trip was hassled by the TSA agents. Check it out:

The second problem was that I had several graphic novels with me. I had planned to read them on the plane. I had “DMZ” volumes 1, 2 & 3, “The Nightly News,” and “Artemis Fowl.” The guard flipped through “DMZ” saw a ravaged New York City and them immediately called for two other security guards to join him in the room. I was then...
