    • The Gotham Times - Batman: Savior or Menace?

POSTED BY CHARLIE SCHNEIDER, JUNE 16 2008 09:00 AM | PERMALINK

The latest issue of The Gotham Times has just rolled hot off the Adobe Flash presses. This issue features coverage of Harvey Dent's election win, as well as speculation on the intentions and motivation of Batman. It seems like The Gotham Times are taking a page from Jonah Jameson's Daily Bugle (with a little less anti-mask copy).

    • Cool Videos: Pre-Two Face Harvey Dent Flips His Coin

POSTED BY CHARLIE SCHNEIDER, JUNE 06 2008 02:06 PM | PERMALINK

Comcast.net has some exclusive videos of the upcoming Dark Knight movie.  There is an IMAX featurette showing a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of The Dark Knight in IMAX format.  The video shows a lot of additional footage, including Batman talking to the Joker in the interogation room, a pre-Two Face Harvey Dent flipping his coin, as well as a lot of other great clips not seen in the trailers.

      Enjoy!

    • Heath Ledger Follow-Up

POSTED BY ALEX ZALBEN, JANUARY 25 2008 12:00 PM | PERMALINK

I just want to warn anyone commenting below... This is ultra sad news, and I don't need no lip about it. That out of the way, as I'm sure you all know, Heath Ledger passed away on Tuesday, and though there's no definitive news of the cause, it does seem it was accidental. Heath Ledger was a great talent, and seemed to be a genuinely warm and intelligent person who will be missed by many.

Naturally, though, thoughts start to turn towards his work in film, and how that's affected. So a few updates...

    • The Comic-Movie Rundown

POSTED BY KENNETH ENGLAND, SEPTEMBER 25 2007 02:45 PM | PERMALINK

Been a while since I brought you fine readers some of the ever-ubiquitous comic-movie news, so I'm back with a sack full of D.C. (and indie) movie news to bring you today. How much news fits in a sack, you ask? Enough to keep you happy. Now, let's get to it.

Let's start with Wonder Woman, since it pleases me that the Katie Holmes-as-Diana rumor was just that... a rumor. Despite her resemblance to a young Linda Carter (I mean, compare the cheekbones...) something deep inside told me that casting wasn't...

    • Another "Dark Knight" Leaked Scene

POSTED BY KENNETH ENGLAND, AUGUST 30 2007 02:00 PM | PERMALINK

As usual, minor spoilers involved ... pretty minor this time, so don't worry too much about learning anything you didn't want to learn. If you "have to go in fresh" to the movie, turn away now.

This is by far the coolest "Dark Knight" scene I've yet seen leaked, because we actually get to see something blown up! Fox Chicago posted this video of a former candy factory getting blown up for what is undoubtedly a climax scene in the film.

The building, in the film, will apparently be portraying Gotham...
