This Week's "Watchmen" News...
Wizard had a quick chat with Zack Snyder, in which they talked about "Watchmen" going into production in a matter of weeks (what, did you think we would go a week without any "Watchmen" movie news?!). There are some interesting tidbits in the interview, like how Snyder got Dave Gibbons involved and had him draw the concept poster that debuted at San Diego Comic Con. It's interesting how Snyder combines his drawings with the original comic panels for his storyboards for the film, and when asked if any of the actors have suited up yet he said:
"No. I haven't seen anyone in their costumes full blown yet, but I have seen a lot of tests, and it's slowly getting closer and closer. Like I'll see Jackie [Earle Haley, who plays Rorschach] with just a white mask on and a hat and that’s it, and I'm like, "Ahhh, so close!" So it's slowly coming together. It's like they keep adding one more piece here and one more piece there."
We had a post earlier today about "Heroes" overkill, but I can only imagine what it will be like by the time March 2009 rolls around, and the movie is FINALLY released. Will too many details and shots be leaked? Will the trailer be awesome or will it leave fans ... less than satisfied? Only time will tell, and as always, we'll bring you ANY "Watchmen" movie news that comes across our desks.

No such thing as Watchmen overkill... Unlike most comics to films, we all know the whole story, so there are little surprises in that regard. As such, there should be little surprise, and what surprises there are will probably just make fans irate. Please keep the news coming.
