Webslinger Wedding Woes?
Spider-Man has had a busy year in the comics so far between being unmasked and getting Aunt May shot in the process, and with the “One More Day” storyline looming on the horizon things are apparently looking to get much bleaker for Parker.
Readers of Spider-Man have obviously noticed the extensive foreshadowing of Aunt May’s imminent death (call me cynical, but this is long overdue.) Early art of the “One More Day” storyline, however, seems to be hinting towards another split between Parker and Mary Jane. Speculation is running wild on the Marvel discussion boards on the issue ranging from Mary Jane dying to a divorce.
Of course, there are also plenty of spiteful posts openly deriding Quesada, who is very outspoken about his hatred of Mary Jane and Parker being a couple (and for what it’s worth, his argument does make sense.) Regardless of the outcome, I wish Marvel fans would lay off Quesada. He gets way more grief than a man who saved Marvel from bankruptcy and brought it into a new golden age should ever get.
