Itsy Bitsy "Spider-Man 4" News
While it may have been inevitable with the sheer amount of money the Spider-Man film franchise has made for Marvel that there would be more sequels, one thing we didn’t know was whether the creative team would be intact. Things are looking positive as Raimi, perhaps the most important ingredient in the films success, has stated a desire to continue to contribute to the franchise.
“I want to help contribute to the production,” said Raimi in an interview with Empire. “I don’t know if I’ll just be a producer on it but if I can work with the writer in such a way so that directing would be right for me, I don’t know. We’ve had our first meeting on 'Spider-Man 4' and we’re looking for the writer.”
With rumors circulating of a "Spider-Man" 4, 5 and 6 being planned, it is comforting to hear Raimi state a desire to stay with the franchise. While fan reaction to the three films has been mixed, conventional wisdom says that the franchise is in the best hands with Raimi.
