Vampires! Gore! Josh Hartnett!
The trailer and exclusive clip shown at Comic Con this past weekend for the upcoming horror film, "30 Days of Night", based on the Steve Niles graphic novel, is now up on 30DaysofNight.com (click on the "Watch Restricted Content Only"). The movie stars Josh Hartnett as Eben, the sheriff of Barrow, a small town in Alaska, that is engulfed in darkness for an entire month. It is during those 30 days that vampires descend onto the town, and horror ensues.
This mini-series for IDW Publishing was an instant hit, transforming Steve Niles (the writer) and Ben Templesmith (the artist) into overnight comic celebrities. With the avalanche of sequels, and tie-ins comes the big-screen adaptation of the original. "30 Days" is regarded by many as the scariest graphic novel ever made, and judging by the trailer, this movie will live up to the name (make sure to stick around after the trailer for the clip with the freaktastic little vampire girl).
Look for it in theatres this October.
