Spider-Man's Sinister 4?
Sam Raimi chatted with MTV about the possibility of directing Spider-Man 4, and what he would want to go with for the villain(s):
"I would love to see Electro, Vulture, maybe the Sinister Six as a team," he said.And good news for Lizard-fan Pete LePage:
Whether that story line works out or not, Raimi hopes to finally reward Dylan Baker's patience with a villainous payoff similar to what Franco enjoyed in "3." "I love Dylan Baker as a person, and I really like the character he is developing," the filmmaker said of Dr. Curt Connors, Parker's one-armed, screen-time-challenged professor in the first three flicks. The Lizard is probably one of my favorite characters," he said of the baddie Connors eventually became in the comics.Two thoughts went through my head while reading this:
1) I'm totally jacked for a Sinister Six movie. I always hoped they'd get to Sinister Six for, oh, I don't know, Spider-Man 6, but whatevs.
2) For the people who didn't like three villains in Spider-Man 3, this is probably not good news.
To help stave off number 2 a bit, Raimi continues, saying:

Cool News. But Raimi should keep the villain count down so that theres more Peter time. BRING VENOM BACK!

As cool as it would be to see the Sinister 6 on the big screen, explaining 2 villains in one film (as Spidey 3 shows IMHO) is difficult enough, let alone 6... I still think Spidey 3 would have been better if they just set-up Venom (Peter gets alien costume, and get rid of it by the end) and waited till 4 for Venom to actually appear. I'm all for the Lizard showing up though!
