Great episode guys. Thanks David :)
Site looks great! Show was funny and interesting. I don't read d.c. and never knew 52 was the week thing. weak. Make mine MARVEL. Looking forward to part two of the MAD visit. The only mail I get is Mad and bills;then I get mad again. You guys are great and I hope you stay strong.Sometimes I have a question about something and Presto..Pulp Secret. Thanks. My brother's KeyTronic is still sticky. Spider-Brad.
Good interview, with a great guest! It's also good to see this cilp unedited.
Pete made a good point about DC's series counting up to 52 and now counting down to 0, and getting the fan hooked on a weekly basis. So what's next, DC: Zero Hour Redux?
I'm having trouble understanding what all the complaints are about. Is a Comic Book Critic complaining about reading too many Comics the same as a Movie Critic complaining about watching too many movies? Or does P!S not reimburse you for comics?
I've been enjoying Countdown so far. My response to anyone complaining about having to buy too many comics: If you don't like it, don't read it. To quote Dan DiDio: "Buy what you read; read what you like." I'm not sure if that's the exact quote (and yes, I know it sounds a bit cheesy).
So until some blogging reporter accuses Captain America of being un-American for not having a MySpace or watching a Youtube video. Make mine... Oh wait. :/
In all fairness, Pete doesn't even buy 52 or Countdown, he just read the copies that Justin and I bought.
Maybe "In all fairness" wasn't the right phrase there ;)
Dude, John - I'm with you 100%. It's not like DC is pulling a bait and switch on people - if you bought and liked 52 (one implies the other, after all), why wouldn't you WANT another weekly series? I liked 52, and I liked not having to wait a month to get the next little chunk of story - bring on the weeklies, I say!
Thanks Spider-Brad!!!!
As far as countdown, I think it is a cool idea. The whole weekly comic. As many people say it is remarkable to be able to a weekly comic pull off. I love reading comics, but if I don't like something...Like biulding up a lot of hype about 52, then doing it and then trying to do the same idea again. But counting down? I don't want to support it. Lets do a weekly comic about something else besides counting up and down.
