Pretty cool. I think Fables is just fine, if not better, without Peter Pan... I like it being focused more around older folktales and Peter Pan's more of a modern creation. One of those happy accidents I guess.
What did everyone else think about this episode? Should we do more like these from Comic Book Club?
I dunno... i mean not a whole episode a little bit if you want, but im kind of, just a little bit disapointed, because i was hooked with pulpsecret from the 1st episode beacause of what you guys did in the episode basically the 1st maby 10 or more were great and i absolutly enjoyed them but now i still enjoy the show, dont get me wrong, but there is tooo MUCH extra stuff you guys dont need. I mean u guys had it perfect in the 1st episodes!! but now i think there is tooo much but i dont want all this to stop compleatly just cut back on the extra things focus more on the comics like you did do in the begining. This last week there has been no picks and no pull list, this is a comments section and its made for opinions and this is mine, but ur not losing me as a veiwer no matter where it goes, i still like the pulpsecret!
Thanks for the feedback, Rid. Last week was kind of a "special" occasion, but I see where you're headed. We're trying some new and different things here as we grow, and appreciate your support. What about the rest of you? From the beginning, we've asked what you like, what you don't. What do you want to see more of and what do you want to see less of. And MOST important (we're really serious) if you send us YOUR videos, we'll incorporate them into the show. For real!
David
Thanks Dave!, just sooo i can start thinkin about it, what kind of videos do u want to see?
How about you give us YOUR picks of the week? Or tell us about a comic we haven't seen. Whatever it is, though, make it original and something that YOU would want to see if someone else posted it. And don't use anyone else's material - you have to have created it.
Have fun, though! This is about YOU!
Good episode. I haven't read Fables, doesn't seem like a book that would appeal to me, but the comment about Peter Pan is interesting. Would have made for a unique story. One that I might have picked up. Thanks!
Oh, as for picks of the week, I'll have to get back to you. I have all of my comics delivered on a monthly basis, so you've probably read them before me.
The Willingham interview was nice, but way too short. He has such a history of great work (Elementals and Pantheon anyone?) that there could have been much more to this.
I also agree with Riddler regarding the Pull List and Picks of the Week. These could really been mini-episodes every week, separate from news and features.
I have to agree with Riddler as well. I would love to see the show expanded to 15 minutes or longer. I know that may not be practical at this time. Just a suggestion.
Thanks guys
I LOVE the "extra" stuff. I find the Pull List pretty dull. I mean, what can you say before you've read the book? It's the same every time: "The book has been great since _____ started his run and I'm really excited about this next issue." These interviews (great Willingham material!), Indie Cred, Justin's fake Spider-Man interviews from a few episodes back, The Rundown, that's the good stuff that's unique to this show. Keep THAT up.
This is all great feedback, guys! And there IS more to the Bill Willingham interview. We'll tell you where to find it shortly. Meantime, there's a lot of great stuff coming up in the next few weeks - and (sorry for the tease) we'll be telling you about it VERY soon!
