Talking: Skaar Son of Hulk #2
Spoiler. I love that Marvel has that first page recap. For comics that come out monthly it is a great reminder of what is happening in the world of this comic. Plus they decided to give us a map. Which gives us a better idea of what Sakaar looks like. Also it gives us more information about what is happening. That way they don’t have to waste valuable panels, when we could be watching Skaar kill dragons. OK even I have to admit I was a little upset when Skaar killed the last dragon. I am very excited about this comic; there is so much they can do with the son of Hulk. What would you do? I think eventually Skaar and The Hulk are going to have to face off. What are your thoughts on Skaar?
I loath Skaar. I loved planet hulk. And I mean LOVE. But why try and rehash that plot with a lame offspring. This is the garbage that is ruining comics. The planet was destroyed, remember? so how could skaar have survived. If I never hear of Skarr again it will be too soon.
The planet wasn't destroyed just the capitol city. Simmer down.
Sorry I didn't realize you had such an affinity with skaar. What was I thinking posting my opion on a forum.
I think I'll wait for the trade with this one. 1st issue really didn't interest me too much and I couldn't really tell where it was going to go from there. I hope it's awesome though and I wonder if maybe Marvel is considering making Hulk a legacy character with Skarr (probably not though).
Pete, I love Skaar: Son Of Hulk!!! This is a great time. As an artist, I'm totally diggin' on Ron Garney's art. Love the new backup feature drawn by Butch Guice (I heard Justin pronounce his last name as "juice" in a previous episode. I remember reading in Wizard that it's pronounced with a hard G and rymes with "ice". For those not in the know, his first name's Jackson).
I'm looking forward to each upcoming issue of this series and would love to see Hulk and Skaar square off. YOU KNOW IT'S COMING!!!
Could "World War Skaar" be in the offing?!?
