This is the story I've wanted to see ever since the first film, and I'm sure I'm not alone. The second and third films were okay as entertainment goes, but they really didnt advance the story beyond anything we'd learned in the first.
I just hope they treat this as an adult feature, and not try to make it light, or happy, or shoehorn in some annoying pre-teen child as so many of these films do. Lets hope the Batman film's dark and serious style proves to the hollywood execs that you can treat sci-fi and action films as serious subject matter.
Cannot wait for this.

Agreed with Bom with waiting for a film for this fictional war. Now I fucking love T2, it's one of my favorite films of all time. But I would've loved to have seen a film about John Connor and the war for the third or even the tv show.
God knows what the quality of the film will be, but it's nice to finally see this epic war that's been talked and briefly shown in three films and one tv show.
I am totally looking forward to seeing the new Terminator... Christian Bale tends to do a great job no matter what role he takes
