You are right about Cap, he didnt seem to have much revelances in Marvel until Brubaker got on board with the title. When he came on the title sold like fireworks and then he was the main hero for Civil War. We all know he got humungously big after he died, but this stuff before he died was just as good before people starting on issue 25.
If the Cap movie is done right, I would love to see this part for a sequal if the make a sequal to Captain America (rushing I know since the first isnt out til 2011). I cant think of anything else to make for a movie other then his WWII days.
I actually jumped on board with Captain America at issue 1 because they began a re-numbering and I figured thats a great time to start reading him. That it turned out so well was a huge bonus.
You forget to mention the exceptional art done by Epting. He's a huge asset to the book. He has a great blog too

He's just another amazing Marvel artist that gets pretty much ignored, but is in a class with guys like Ross and Bradstreet.
