Mike Mignola's: The Art of Hellboy II
Wired.com has just released a first look at some of the artwork behind the new Hellboy II movie. As you can see Mignola's beautifully twisted artwork is depicted from pen and ink to screen. Dark Horse is releasing a TPB of the work simply titled Hellboy: The Art of the Movie
As Director Guillermo Del Toro mentioned in our interview at NYCC, most of the world of Hellboy II is unique to the film. But make no mistake, it all flows from Mignola.

Mignola is one of those guys who CAN draw extremely well, but most of the time he uses a style I really dislike, very high contrasty like Miller's, as you can see here

The art for the new film looks great though. He and Del Toro have very similar visions of the fantasy world.
