it looks like crap anyone remember the made for tv movie the spirit from the 80's ?

For what it's worth, I think a lot of the people (including me) were walking out because the panel was way behind schedule and we were satisfied enough with the trailer that we felt we could leave.

Frank Miller can do this film because he was close friends with Eisner before he died. It's a known fact that both men respected eachother and valued each other's work. Both did a book together called Miller/Eisner which is a great conversation on comics, film, and their legacy.

I'm sure Eisner would love to see Miller involved with his work. It would be nice if he stuck with the classic Spirit and not his own interpretation though. Or at least go with Darwyn Cooke's take of the hero.

it does NOT look that bad. I mean the thing barely gives anything away.
It does look a little Sin City-ish, but it is Miller guys. And Sin City was awesome.
I wasn't that impressed by the trailer but man you guys are overreacting.

Honestly, it didn't look bad to me or good for that matter as far as teaser trailers go.

How can Frank Miller just do whatever he wants to the Spirit? 

Terrible terrible trailer. I thought I was watching Batman in Sin City 2: The man wore read and other shit adaptations. 

Will Eisner must be turning in his grave as we speak. 

I didnt think it was that bad, but it certainly doesnt look like The Spirit Eisner and then Cooke wrote to make it brilliant.

Well that trailer was horrible. Lets hope the film isnt quite so ridiculous.
