Precocious Youth

To many, comic book fandom is a secret activity, only seeing the light of day on Wednesdays and at the odd comic book convention when you finally get the chance to put on your homemade Darkhawk costume and show off. When I do meet other comic book readers, you realize that the stories are often the same: grew up reading comics and continue to buy more and more of them, like an addict. When I was a kid, as soon as I put down my comics, I would pick up pencil and paper and draw my own characters and plan elaborate adventures for them to go on. Does everyone do that? Do you Pulp-heads out there have a stable of superheroes of your very own from agaes ago? Who are they? What are there powers? I'll get it going: One of my favorites was Diamondo. A regular dude whose body was one day transformed into pure diamond. He was sought after by many for his value, particularly his arch nemesis, the appropriately named Diamond Cutter, and young rich socialites everywhere. Who's in your stable? -Justin
