The New Avengers
Spoiler OK, I can admit when I am wrong. I say a lot of the time that I hate relationship stuff in comics. But The New Avengers #38 was such a great comic. Justin has got to be loving this. Usually relationship stuff is lame and done so Soap Opera. What a crazy ride, when she answered the phone Avengers Tower Jessica Jones speaking? I lost it when Luke says Are @#$% you kidding me? The conversation was so great and so real. It was also a great choice to have Luke calls them skrulls. They were like what? Oh, well Tony has been so busy, by the way we are all under attack from skrulls. What would you do if you were Luke? Does he even have a choice? I would like to thank Bendis! This has been such a great comic because of him. Plus it is the only place I can get my Spidey fix.

another fantastic issue. cage has been the unofficial leader of the new avengers and this issue shows him confused, vulerable and pissed. he and jessicas arguement outside the tower is very real. cant wait for the next issue.
A lot of the reviewers have been complaining that this was too talky, but I agree this series has been brilliant in the way it has dealt with the real life issues and concerns of the characters. First there were the realistic concerns over registration, then all the doub, suspicion, and recriminations over who is a skrull, and now which is more important the unity of the team or the safety of a child. This isnt the most exciting book from an action standpoint, but its always a good read.
