Cap in the News
This morning, the Daily News ran a story covering tomorrow's issue of Captain America, which marks the debut of the brand new Cap - Bucky Barnes, brandishing a shield and pistol. Ed Brubaker and joe Quesada weigh in on the implications of bringing back the soldier aspects of the character. A panel from Cap #34:
Joe Q also admits that Steve Rogers may yet return:
"Ultimately, comics are very democratic," Quesada says. "Fans vote with their dollars."
I'm not sure how my dollar bills scream "Bring back Steve Rogers" or "Break up Peter and MJ" but I'm not very good with money. As fans, do you guys drop a book if there is a creative change you disagree with or stick around and give the new changes a chance?
Joe Q will also be going on the Colbert Report to talk about the Cap issue, check it out Tuesday night.

captain, America

well i dont just drop books at the drop of a hat. but obviosuly if everything starts getting shitty i just give up on it. no point in sticking aroudn for sub par storylines. to be honest theirs not many books i have given up on for creative reasons.
I've never been too concerned with who the creative team is on my main titles, ASM, Unc X-Men, Wolverine. But when Captain America loses Brubaker I'll probably bail, and swap to whatever title he goes to, if its Marvel.
I personally dropped Spiderman all together when the Brand New Day started. I figure they'll make another clone saga out of it eventually so not wasting my money or time with it.
If its a character I love, then I generally stick with them through thick and thin. If its, not something I normally would get but an amazing writter turns in a dazzling story arch, then i genereally move on when its over.
