Like it never happened?

OK WHAT THE @#*! So you have gone and ruined Spider-Man. Fine, but then all the Brand New Day stuff is as if it never happened? If you are going to do something crazy, then please have it be for a reason. When is Spidey going to start dealing with the huge issues in his world? Why are we seeing a story about Spider-Man fighting Mr. Negative? We could have seen that before he made a deal with the devil (barf). Did we do all this craziness just so we could bring back Spidey’s armpit webs?

Well it gets rid of that whole "married" thing. Because as you (and -- evidently -- people in Marvel conference rooms) know, Married = Old. And we're trying to keep it fresh and relatable to young readers. Plus now he can date hotties. There's nothing that young readers want more in their superhero comics than stories of their dating dilemmas.

That, or they're prepping for Ed Brubaker's guest-stint where he brings Gwen Stacy back from the dead.

im totally baffled. is spidey still in the New Avengers? evidently hes still not registered. but what does this do to the current arc in new avengers and the mighty avengers? this is the kinda shit that makes you stop buying comics all together.
i wouldnt mind if they JUST fucked up spiderman. im not a huge fan. but i am a fan of the new avengers and this is baffling.
and if they really think making peter single is what everyone want then they are thick as pigs shit. i enjoyed his marriage. im 23 and lots of my friends are getting married. why would i want to watch someone who is still living with aunt at his age. get a fuckin clue marvel.
i can garuntee im not gonna be buying another spiderman book until they tell me what the frig is going on with the multitude of other titles that the brand new day arc fucks up.
as if the comic book industry is screwed enough as it is. now these douchbags take a piss over all the fans. well done. now ill go read my Y the last man comics. at least they wont retcon that to death.

New Avengers is still pre-OMD in the marvel timeline. In the upcoming annual(which is in the current NA timeline) it shows spidey removing his mask.

OK its pre-OMD but what will OMD have on the avengers titles when it catches up?
sorry i know my points are all over the place. but my major beef is this, does it matter now? of all the outcomes from these titles, are they totally screwed to death now? did they ever happen? Mary Jane showed up in the new avengers title (i know she was in teh annual for the wedding at the very least). do we even know if he joined the avengers in the post OMD universe? i guess ill be patient and see how it all turns out. ill keep getting my new avengers and mighty avengers. but i cant see how they will remedy this.

      New Avengers is pre- OMD?

That's absurdly dumb. The version of Peter Parker that we've seen in New Avengers after Civil War has been care-free and jocular, much like this new BND version. When I saw the outcome of his deal with Mephisto, I thought to myself 'Oh, that's why he's totally out of character in the New Avengers! He's not all emotional angsty over Aunt May because it's not happening!'

But to acknowledge that Spider-Man IS going after the Kingpin, etc, and making 'I love punching Ninjas' cracks makes absolutely no sense.
