Persepolis Contest!

Have you guys seen Persepolis yet? It's totally possible that if you don't live in New York or Los Angeles that the graphic novel adaptation hasn't hit your neck of the woods yet.

Have you guys READ Persepolis yet? If you haven't, you're missing out... It's a great personal memoir that really tackles Iranian politics, without dumbing it down, is critical while still presenting a balanced picture of the situation, and is also deeply funny.

If you haven't read the book, or seen the movie, I've got some pretty good news for you... The fine folks at Sony Pictures Classics have been nice enough to give us Five (5) Copies of the recently released Complete Persepolis, and Ten (10) Copies of the full size, theatrical Persepolis movie poster. And we're giving them all away to you guys. Here's how this will work:

Persepolis Contest Rules:

- Go to your local comic book shop.

- Bring a camera.

- Bring something to write on, and with, whether it's poster-board, a pad, etc.

- Write on the pad, in big letters, "Pulp Secret & Persepolis Rulez," or whatever sentence you like, as long as it includes "Pulp Secret" and "Persepolis" somewhere in there, and doesn't include any naughty words.

- Take a picture of yourself holding up the pad (or poster), with the owner/guy working behind the counter at your comic book shop. Make sure we can see both of you in the picture, and read what you wrote.

- E-mail the picture to alex@pulpsecret.com, along with your mailing address, your name, the name of the other guy in the picture, and where you took it (city, and name of shop).

- The first FIVE (5) people to send in a picture that fulfills these requirements will get a copy of the Complete Persepolis.

- The next TEN (10) people to send in a picture that fulfills these requirements will get a copy of the Persepolis Official Movie Poster.

- We'll also feature the best (and winning) pictures in an upcoming episode of "The Stack," as well as here on the blog.
