Spider-Man Sucks
So I didn’t realize how much I didn’t care about Peter Parker, until MJ was out of the picture. Really it felt like he was Bruce Wayne. Plus why the hell would you ever make a deal with the devil. I know it was Mephisto. It is just a long lame way to go just so the writers can have fun hooking spider-man up with different ladies. It is a dumb idea and I don’t want to read about it. Just let me know when he gets back together with MJ. Don’t mess with a good thing people. Am I wrong? Doesn’t this comic belong under the "what if" comics? Oh I got an idea, what if we just write a really good Spider-Man comic and use the Spider-Man we all know and love!

I agree it seems stupid to do this, but what really seemed like an insult was including the wedding in the back of the comic after retconning away the whole thing.
it is pretty much a way to hook peter parker up with other girls, but wasnt the whole reason why we liked him with MJ is b/c it fit? It was like they were, if i may use a cliche, "meant for each other". Honestly, I would have either have Peter Parker have to make the choice, or kill aunt may. But I would have rather make it so he nver made the deal.
They should have just killed off Aunt May. Why couldnt they just do that? First we have the death issue, then the funeral issue, then the rememberence issue....blah blah blah...when does Secret Invasion start for him? I mean jesus it would've been tolerable to go threw a few issues with her death then to just screw up twenty years of issues with Spider-Man. Whoever thought it was a good idea to do this should be shot...or shot JMS before he got to writing it all down. Brand New Day looks good and it might be fun to see the 'old' Parker back...but what is the point really? Pete is dead on: Wake me up when their married again.

not only did peter make a deal with devil, he did it knowing that Mephisto wanted get a win in the devil vs. "god" contest. bad peter.

Couldn't agree more, but I hated it doubly so because it ripped off a nearly identical (and poorly written) story from The Flash.
