Countdown Arena
So, Countdown, big hit, right? Creating a huge, die-hard fanbase? With a deep interest in spin-off series'?
Well DC is banking on the above statement being true. Yikes. However, one look at these Andy Kubert covers for Countdown Arena may change your tune, as well as the concept for the series. All the popular heroes from the multiverse (popular elseworld series) will battle for the coveted spot in Monarch's army in his battle against the Monitors. Cool or uncool? I plan on opening an underground gambling club where we'll argue in Russian and gamble on which Green Lantern will dominate.

Countdown

It would be nice if I could actually tell what is happening on those covers. I just see limbs and capes.
I do miss the Kuberts, especially Andy at Marvel. DC signs these guys to exclusive contracts and then just wastes them on drek.
Andy Kubert ruined the Last Son arc. Even tho I think the story sucks anyway, it still woulda been better if he could of gotten it out on a timely base.
