The Comics Page

POSTED BY Chris Rudolph, 31 October 2007

New York Magazine's entertainment blog, Vulture, will begin a new weekly segment called "The Comics Page" which "...introduces you to brand-new graphic novels by the world's best artists and writers. Manga, superheroes, indie comix — we'll cover them all as our editors select the best the exploding comics world has to offer."

This first week they cover the digital comic "Shooting War," about a guy living in Brooklyn in the year 2011, and facing various terrorist acts that have once again threatened New York. The webcomic, by Anthony Lappé and Dan Goldman, is very much an "ordinary guy in an extraordinary situation," and is a definite pick for anyone who loves "Y: The Last Man." New York Magazine is great, and it's exciting that they are now focusing on comics and graphic novels on a weekly basis.
