Wanted Trailer
This hardly qualifies as comic book news, and if you take a look at the first official trailer for Wanted, you'll see why.
Here's what the series, by Mark Millar and JG Jones, is about:
It features an amoral protagonist who discovers he is the heir to a career as a super-villainous assassin in a world where such villains have secretly taken control of the planet.Sound like the plot as put forward in the trailer? Of course not, because it's entirely different.
It's just constantly surprising how much more complicated people will make things if given the chance.
This looks so horrible.
In other movie news, they've signed a new writer for spider-man 4, and he doesnt suck! James Vanderbilt, who wrote Basic with its excellent twists and turns, and Rundown another excellent script for what could have been a very mediocre film, and wrote the screenplay for The Losers based on the vertigo book. I didnt see Darkness Falls.
Sam Raimi still hasnt signed on yet, but in all the post 3 interviews I saw he didnt sound opposed to it. The real question is tobey maguire, with all his physical problems a 4th film might not be possible.
Looks like they took away everything that made the comic the work of genius that it is. Is there even gonna be a black suit?
