You want more Vampire movies? Sam Raimi will give you more vampire movies!

In a recent interview with Bloody-disgusting.com Raimi said to the possibility of a sequel to 30 Days of Night that "We'd have to see if it's successful at the box office and see if people really want to see a sequel. And if they do then I'd probably huddle with Ben [Templesmith] and Steve [Niles] and my partner, Rob [Tapert], and figure out what they thought it should be. Mostly I want to stay true, if there was a sequel, to the books. I think that's what got us there in the first place."
So there you go folks, its all up to you, and Alex, if we get to see the next chapter of this series of graphic novels. Is this series still considered a graphic novel or just a comic book series at this point since stories have continued to be published?
That question brings up another subject that i find to be really interesting, do graphic novels make better films than comic books because of the condensed nature of the stories? What do you guys think? For graphic novels we have Sin City, 300, A History of Violence, and Road to Perdition. All being turned into excellent films while on the other side we have... X-men? Spider-man, Blade (the first two), Daredevil (Director's Cut), Hulk (give it a chance), and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Unrated Edition (joking, but wouldn't it be cool?). Which side has had the best transition?
