K.I.T.T. transform and roll out!

There have been rumors of a Knight Rider movie being in production for years now, and i know because I talked to The Hoff about it at one time... yes i've met The Hoff! ( that dude is tall by the way ) The Hoff said that in fact a movie was in the works and the possibility of K.A.R.R being included was high. This didn't happen, of course, but according to Variety because of the Transformer film... yes because of the "success" of Transformers the chance of another Knight Rider TV series became possibility. And this is why now we are getting a two-hour TV Knight Rider film.

One good thing about the report and one bad one.

    The good:
Apparently right from the beginning there will be evil cars messing about. I find this kind of cool because I think that this was one of the missed opportunities of the old series, on the other hand that did make the K.A.R.R. and Goliath appearances extra special. But wouldn't it be fun to see a gang of ATBs running around attacking all these Xtreme dudes? Or one fun day at the beach when suddenly some one screams, "Alright bro laser yacht!"

    The bad :
"The thinking is that smallscreen f/x have advanced to the point where it'd be feasible to have a weekly series in which cars shift shapes."
Cars are going to "shift" into what exactly? I just hope they don't go too wild like Ron Moore did with Battlestar Galactica and turn this new version into something completely out of the realm of what the spirit of the original series was. If the transformations are treated like M.A.S.K., which had limited changes to turn on their weapons, then it would be cool but anything pass that would be too much.

Let's just buckle up and hope for the best for this remake, re-imagining, re-whatever they are going to call it.

Here are some helpful links for those of you that don't remember the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand better known as M.A.S.K. They spell command with "K" like Chuck Norris did with his Karate Kommandos
