Save the Badminton Player, Save the World

There we have it, the Heroes premiere. We catch up with our rag-tag band of Heroes four months after the confrontation in New York. Everyone has moved on at least somewhat: Parkman's a detective and divorced, Suresh is lecturing about something new (his super power seems to be an exponential talent for melodramatic discourse) and Claire and her family have gone into hiding. In addition, they seem to be setting up a Legacy Virus plot for this season, Jeph Loeb once again tapping comic bookdom for his plotline. What did you guys think?

    Some obervations and predictions:

    - Claire's new boyfriend West, with his groundbreaking 'Robots vs. Aliens" theory, is going to turn out to have a number of powers: 1. flying, as revealed in the preview for next week, and 2. Shapeshifting into 80's television stars:

    - Nathan Petrelli, displaying the universal sign for hard times, a beard, will continue to struggle for several episodes. He will drink a lot, displayed by the universal sign of greasy hair and upturned collar, and continue to act morbid and stone sober. His mother will say "you're drunk" in her best Lee Remick impression from 'The Days of Wine and Roses'.

    - The eyes that Molly is drawing in her classroom will continue to get more and more intimidating thus setting her on a dangerous course toward optometry, culminating in the season finale where she will do battle with an unruly ocular exam.

    - Claire's army of mediocre looking badminton girls will do battle with the glittering and preened army of cheerleaders. Claire will be torn between her two loves and the action will culminate in a Bring It On style throwdown set to Pat Benatar's landmark hit "We Belong".

    Mark my words.

You forgot the somewhat more than predictable plot in ancient japan. Can you say cliche? I thought you could. The only thing Heroes had going for it last year was its unpredictability, now its just another bad sci-fi show.
