Comic Book Club Preview: Jesse Falcon

August 14th brings us another edition of Comic Book Club, the live talk show where you can meet me, Justin, and Pete in person, and hang out with our comic book friends! Hooray! Before the show, I'm going to post up little chats I had with all of the guests. Today, I'm talking with Jesse Falcon, VP of Product Development for Marvel Entertainment. And more importantly, the creator of Hulk Hands! - Alex

JF: Awesome.

PS: So tell me a little about yourself... You've created a ton of toys for Marvel, right?

JF: Literally a cubic ton. I've been with ToyBiz/Marvel toys for 15 years and worked on everything that they did in that time period.

PS: Of everything you've made, what's your favorite item?

JF: As a favorite? That's a very tough call as I loved 'em all when I was working on them. But the thing that has given me the most gratification over the years has to be the Marvel Legends line.

PS: What character have you never gotten to make, that you'd love to work with?

JF: Either Darkhawk, or Bug from the Micronauts.

PS: Prove your comic geek cred: First comic book?

JF: They were the Spider-Man/Electric Company/Easy Reader books... I don't remember the issues, but I literally learned to read on those. The first comic that I remember reading was Uncanny X-men #128. I was in 3rd grade, and I just recall the feeling I got when I saw Wolverine rip out Proteus' innards, thinking that I had been introduced to a whole new world!

PS: Favorite series/graphic novel/single issue of all time?

JF: BWS Weapon X.

PS: The most annoying character in comics is...

JF: I'll say Dr. Strange... Because he's not easy to write for. But when he's written well, like in the Thor Vikings TPB, it's amazing.

PS: The most awesome character in comics is...

JF: Wolverine.

PS: Anything you want to plug?

JF: Dita Von Tease?
