so wait are you guys no longer gonna be on pulpsecret!?
New episodes of "a show sort of like the Stack" will be at youtube.com/comicbookclub, as well as more news shortly. Same content, different place.
dudes whats happening? why? this is a bummer but i will still watch on you tube....is it really moving to another site? is pulp secret over?
Yah, see above...
So it's over. Ah well.
Nope, not over; just elsewhere.
SI: X-Men was really inconsequential to the overall SI story, which is pretty disappointing for what should be a flagship title. The art ranged from poor to horrible, and the writing was very weak. For once I agree with your choice to review a shitty book, if only to warn people to ignore it.
As someone who's been reading for nearly 50 years, I say I definitely apply different voices and intonations every character, whether its a comic, or novel, or whatever. With novels I am even envisioning the whole setting as well as the participants. Maybe this explains Pete's dislike for women in his comics, they all talk in his voice. It would be like Dr Girlfriend everytime Supergirl talks.
You guys need to talk to the IFanboys, and get some self-production tips. Find out what equipment they use, mics, cameras, software, etc. They've been doing a very professional show for over a year out of their livingroom. Personally I think NNN only stagnated you guys and pigeonholed you into a shitty little show. Go back and rewatch your first shows (pre-table) and re-create what was a truly unique and enjoyable format, and thats a Pulp Secret...
ok, i had to go and watch your golden-age (pre-table) vids and....please don't go back to that. the skits were funny but the reviews came off like those 'reading rainbow' reviews. but don't take my word for it...go and watch them on your local internet. i would sorely miss seeing your personalities and casual behavior when reviewing.
So this is the last episode of the Stack on Pulpsecret?
Correct!
Man, I can't believe this is the last show. This show and you guys were the reason I came to this site (aside from comics). I guess I'll be visiting YouTube a lot more often now!
Noooooooooo!
Well, I mean.. Yay that you guys have still got your own thing going via Comic Book Club, but without NNN behind ya.. I don't think you'll be popping-up on my Tivo again anytime soon. :/
*sniff* No more coming home from a long day of work to a big pile of reviews waiting to be watched. No more pausing and saving the rest for later when I realize you're about to review an issue that's still on its way from HeavyInk.
Oh well.
He's to the success of Comic Book Club!
wont this site just dry up and die without the stack?
alex you owe us an explanation
Tune into youtube.com/comicbookclub today, I'll be posting a video about this shortly.
Wait, wait.....I thought the Stack and Pulp Secret were the same thing? So what's Pulp Secret gonna become without the Stack? A financial services and global war on terror tracking blog?
Too bad ya'll are having to do this out of Alex's living room (though it looks very nice from what I can tell on those YouTube videos). But drunken antics can be very welcome.
Is it going to be www.3guysonacouchtalkingaboutcomics.com
Geez, I don't know what to say.
I'm so glad that you guys are going to continue on, but... what the hell happened?
Congradulations on being able to have a beer and talk about comics. You are realizing a life long dream of mine. Does this mean we can look forward to longer shows?
Actually, annoyingly, the opposite, as YouTube only allows you 10 minute videos unless you're a partner account.
this is a bit of a shocker. good luck, I'm sure I'll track you down some how.
youtube.com/comicbookclub!
WAIT! Maybe i'm stupid, but I thought this site was basically all about you guys giving a run down on comic books. I loved the show and the format and checked it out every other day- the site should be very upset you three got away. I live in California and wish I could go to the live show, but I can't. Please use better mics on the YouTube show.
Thanks for the great time.
P.S
For some odd reason I feel like I was just dumped and kicked in the jewels. Don't worry , I'll still love you guys.
damn
I would love to watch you guys more often, except that my computer runs on Windows Vista and is therefore barely functional.
Microsoft truly makes terrible products and I would not recommend them to anyone, especially users of computers.
I kid! (kind of)
Your show is fantastic and must live on forever. Three cheers to the immortal triumvirate of Pete, Justin, and Alex.
Best.
Is this because you guys got tired of doing ads for "the lost ones?"
it is a sad day!
Thanks everyone, yes we will not be shooting anymore new stuff for Pulpsecret.com They will put up stuff from comic con that we already shot.
I am sorry to lose the people who would watch us on Tivo. Thanks everyone!
Will the comic con stuff also be on comic book club?
You can check out everything on Newsarama.
DAmn!, I stop watching for two week's and it's over.:(
Well I follow you to the tube!
what's gonna happin to pulpsecret.com and will there be forms again in the futurez?.
what....gutted!
Hey...I just climb out of a cave...
Can Alex tell me again about where to go?
Follow the link in my name to our new home on you tube.
