I think Ultimates 3 kinda started randomly like were'd the Panther come from? I know theres an Ultimate Avengers 2 but come on that sucked and its not continuity. And I hope Spidey and Wolverine dont join.

I was hoping you would talk about countdown. I thought last issue's clifhanger was good. I just hope they keep up the quality of issues and not drop it like they usaully do.

PS: Iam really a OMAC spam program

'This issue is getting good, I know you wont believe me'

...I dont believe you. This series sucks, no where near as good as 52. Just no reason for me to pick it up until Final Crisis happens. Still good show as always, and I like how Granny Goodness is staring at you guys in the background.

      Do you guys watch Frisky Dingo? Cause you look like the 'nerds' from the first season...No offense ^^;

    • Bombardem wrote on December 10, 2:42 pm

First off, didnt much like the new intro, sorry. Boring music, okay graphics, boring titles. Still hate the military commercial. Isnt Spoiler strongly rumored to be returning to Robin #170/171? I think its going to be her identical twin sister, clone, illegitimate rape-child of Selena Kyle by Man-Bat...

When are you guys going to start talking about the "Best of 07." I'm eager to hear your take on things.
      p.s
Are you getting paid by the makers of Hack/Slash to mention them every episode?

    • Alexander Zalben wrote in reply on December 10, 4:59 pm

Ummm... No? Definitely not. Tim Seeley gives us no money at all. Cough.

The Best of '07 should start this week or next. Stay tuned!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who throws up comic gang signs.

I've become such a huge fan of the ULTIMATES And ULTIMATES2 that I am devasted by the crappy first issue of Ultimates 3. The art was crap and when did Cap become a roided out muscle ape? Scale it back! Love the off handedslap Justin gave it by comparing it to WildCats as that is the shittiest superhero team of the nineties. The concept was lets have a team of muscled out huge titied killers yeaaaaaaa!Bring back the edge, the realism, and the awe of a world with superheroes!

    • Superboy-Prime wrote on December 10, 7:27 pm

      agreed.
      Cap looked awful
and since when would wasp run the team? If anyone would [besides cap] it should be Tony.
No realistic look in Ultimates 3 at all :[

High five for the Spoiler: Year One idea, Justin!

    • Lusvell wrote on December 11, 3:34 am

Completely disagree with Xray085's comment up there about the art in Ultimates 3. If anything, thats what saves the book altogether. And Wildcats wasnt that shitty either.

    • pete en espanol wrote on December 11, 9:24 am

Wow! After Pete's recomendation of the Ultimates 3, I am going to start reading Countdown. It's clearly shown that Pete doesn't know what plain SUCKS! How can he sit there and demand quality and even refuse to read certain comics because of some line he has drawn and he reviews comics for a living! You know when he looks a little confused its not his head he scratches.

Have you guys been reading Suicide Squad?

      what do you think?

    • TheBlueLeopard wrote on December 11, 10:41 am

I have to agree with most of your "Ultimates 3 #1" assessment. It's been such a good book for so long that I gave a lot of this issue the benefit of the doubt, and while the art was interesting (if a little extreme), the writing really seemed to disappoint.

I've never understood why everyone thinks Loeb is such a great writer. The whole thing with Hawkeye having a death wish could have been handled so well if done subtly, but instead we're hit over the head with it like we're idiots.

Millar and Hitch had a lot more respect for the readers, and it really came through. I'll give this book to the end of this arc, but I'm not sticking around if this is how it's going to be.

    • Alexander Zalben wrote in reply on December 11, 11:16 am

It's because of "The Long Halloween" and "Superman for All Seasons," at least in my mind. Those were brilliant, this... Not so much.

I ALMOST feel like having anyone other than Millar & Hitch do Ultimates is like putting a new team on Sandman.

      Notice I said "almost." :)

    • richbob wrote in reply on December 11, 8:03 pm

I'd give some love to the Daredevil: Yellow, Hulk: Gray, and Spider-Man: Blue books by Loeb/Sale as well. Some people liked them more than I did, but they were enjoyable. 'Fallen Son' had its moments.

    • Superboy-Prime wrote in reply on December 12, 12:51 am

Public Enimes [the first arc of Superman/Batman] was great. As was most of Loeb's Superman run.

    • Xray085 wrote in reply on December 12, 1:48 am

Hey Alex what do you think about a Gummy Bears Comic?

    • Ephraim (anon) wrote on December 12, 11:59 am

Atom-Eve from Invincible should get her own book. She's got cool powers that haven't been fully explored. Down to earth and would be a great read for girls especially. Hear me Robert Kirkman!

    • Alexander Zalben wrote in reply on December 12, 10:54 pm

      Wish granted!

Atom Eve, two issue limited series, coming NEXT WEEK from Image!

Hey guys i was just looking up some new titles to start reading and came across The Stack. I am just starting to get back into comics again, I am the classic case of when i took a trip away from home and then returned to find my entire collection of comics tossed by my loving mother...... Years later out of boardom i checked out my local comic shop and was completely lost. I remembered i liked marvel and was suggested by one of the guys at the shop to try the ultimate universe, which was just starting at the time. So to stop eating you time i wanted to ask if you have any titles you guys might suggest for this newbie?

      Thanks
      Dan
